DAC 394 (Sig 228 Clone) Kit

Same here :(
On impulse, I spent money I didn't really have...on a gun that I don't really need...that shoots a caliber that I don't reload for...just because I was worried that if I waited around they'd be gone.

The idea of a "kit gun" is really cool to me, hopefully we'll see more of this kind of thing.
 
I bought one too, should be fun to build. That was the reason i bought it, like building a model that actually works! I dont need another gun, but my definition of a deal is: Something you dont really need, At a price you cant resist! Bring it on...
 
Well, I called yesterday and was told 2 or 3 were left...
I called today and was told to fill in the online form and they'd be taken in order (if they were sold out, I'd be notified later).

DLASK is in the middle of a move, so they have a lot on their plate at the moment.

I also think they got TONS of ORDERS for these (more than they have in stock) so just 'cause you ordered, doesn't mean you will receive.
Fingers crossed, but not looking so good.

I oredered mine on Tuesday. Talked to them yesterday on a different issue and they said that it had already shipped. They don't mess around, apparently.

Wow nice to see they're quick on the shipping, I finalized the transfer with the CFC yesterday morning so hopefully the Ontario CFO will be quick in rubber stamping it too.

Where are they moving to?
 
The quality overall is excellent.
The serrations on the slide are a bit shallow, but I think it really depends on the finisher, and how much time/ effort you wish to invest in it.

I am going to give it a good going over with my Dremel, and a few good files.
It should turn out great, depending on your own skill, and patience.

So since some of you've owned real Sigs before, where do I buy cheap (yet quality) mags?
What brands are best? any to avoid?

If I can't find cheap magazines for a Sig in Canada, maybe I'll just try modding a few Beretta mags since they're a dime a dozen. When I was in the Army thats what we used and they worked fine....I guess I'll add "pistol magazines" to my list of things I should have kept. :(

Are the MecGar magazines as good as real Sig ones? I think I know where I can get a couple for $45.
 
I use 3 MecGar mags (along with my 2 stock Sig mags) with my P226 and I have never had a problem with them. They feed great. I know that Marstar has them for $35.00 for the P228.

Mecgar mags are some of the best that you can buy, they make alot of factory mags for companies.
 
Damn, looks like I missed the boat on this one. So......if any of you guys that are getting one decide for some reason you don't really want it, drop me a PM:)
