E.R. Shaw 11.5" barrel for the 10/22. Review & Pics. <Now Stainless!>

Whistlepig makes aluminum barrels. But they're not all aluminum. It's a steel liner (barrel) wrapped in aluminum. A bull barrel with lighter weight. Same idea as the carbon fiber barrels.

I can see the 11.5 being useful for an AR22 build. That would just be winrar with a 6po stock, quad rail and optics...

I love this pic: Current desktop.

No body seems to be answering about the price. Would someone plz PM it to me? Is there any other sources for 11.5-13" barrels?

Thanks,
-Tyler

Ronin will probably be able to snag you a barrel. They're something like $240 with a brake, or a bit less if you don't want one.

Nine, I expect a stock with lower length of pull soon! You've got a solid 3 inches to get rid of.

Matt P, I'm jealous you have your brake already. The one I got had a thread damaged, so I had to send it to Ronin to get rethreaded. Should be here this week!

<runs down hall crying> "I hate you!"

:D They're the rings that came with the dot. I'm thinking about getting a burris firefast for it. Or a N cell EOTech...

Last night, I fitted a YHM Phantom 5C2 flash-hider that I had leftover from my AR15... I also experienced some difficulties to screw on fully on this barrel. Although I suspect the problem was not threading compatibility, but rather the carbon build-up in the FH (it was used to fire about 800rounds on my AR). So I took off the carbon with MPro7 and copper brush and then it screwed on fine.

Ok. So I took it to the range today, and gave the 50M line a shot. :D

While my 6MOA dot is not quite a precision optic, I'd say it did OK. I did 25 shots per target. 100 rounds in about a 4 minute period. :D
