E.R. Shaw 11.5" barrel for the 10/22. Review & Pics. <Now Stainless!>

These barrels perform very well.
Shaw makes some of the best 10/22 barrels for the money I've ever seen, way better than VQ.
Their helical fluted bull barrels are starting to grab my attention as well

The rails are great, but those covers look kind of strange.
They look like they are squared off and uncomfortable,I've never seen ones like that.

Have a peek around,UTG rail covers go for about $10-15 for a 12 pack and are nice and comfy, plus they look great.

There's no excuse for not being ultimate tacti-cool! ;)

lol..you bastard!
I'll find you a krink brake one of these days just to shut you up ;)
Thanks for the offer, but following my post in this thread,
somebody just offer me for sale one that he had sitting around.

It's not actualy for me, but I'm building
a much modified Krinker plinker for palinak,
and I thought that it would be a nice addition.
We'll see.

But if you bring some (in more than one thread size)
I think some people would like to put them on krinkers, VZs, etc.

I got bored last night and sanded the checkering off my stock. I still need to go over it with a finer paper, but I think it turned out OK. I'm going to grab some pachmayr "Pac-Skin" for the forend, grip and buttstock.

How are the bullet speed and ballistics different in the 11.5" barrel then in a 18.5" barrel, and are the shorter barrels less acurate at 100 meters?

I like it. :D

As for the stock, I started with taking off the checkering, then buffed it out a bit with some finer paper. I was going to smooth it out, but as of right now it has a nice texture. It will do until I replace it.

I am also waiting for an extended bolt handle and a proper receiver mount. Seeing as the weaver one only has two slots I have to modify it to properly mount the eotech. I'm taking it out next weekend, so I had to improvise.
