Here are my two Lee Enfields
#4 mkl* 1943 Longbranch
Got most of the parts, all but the sear and the stock are marked LB. The safety, stock, stock metal, front site and hood are in the mail. Still need to find a LB marked bolt and barrel, I think it might be a bit of a stretch finding a good or like new LB marked barrel so if I can not find one by the time I have have all the parts ready to go together I will order in a new Citroen barrel.
All goes well I will have a at least one complete Lee Enfield by fall.

Still a few more parts to go. I might be replacing the receiver as you can see there is a some pretty bad wear on the bolt rail<-?

Mine too, but not in such good nick. Used as training rifle in the army. Fortunately not fired very often. Shoot 1/2 MOA groups with factory hunting ammo from South Africa

The bottom one is my CZ550 30-06, which is currently taking the backseat, because i'm in love with the Enfield.
what scope did you put on your 303 and how did you mount it?
I've got a No.4MK1 that was sporterized (after-market stock set, and bayonet lug was removed from the barrel), but I'm thinking of putting it in an original stock set.
I've found fore-ends and forward hand guards that have the end caps already pinned on, and buttstocks that already have the butt plate. I know I'll need the hand guard retaining ring, barrel bands and screws, and sling swivels. Am I missing anything, or is that it?

You've listed all the necessities.
My two Lee Enfields right now, both are Faz. I've got a Maltby No4 MkI on its way.

Here's the two I have left, I'm looking for a nice war time longbranch and JC to round it off ATM but for now I'll have to be happy with a pair of SSA peddle scenes. Both are matching numbers Rifles.

Here is my first JC (No. 5 MK 1). I have been wanting one for a long time, and finally found a deal I was happy with. It is a 1946 manufacture. This rifle appears to have all original parts as far as I can tell (#s match). The stock is fairly beat up with scratches, dents and chips but no cracks. The stock will likely be sanded down and refinished at some point. The handguard was loose so I tightened that up with some paper for now. I was surprised how short the butt stock is. Hopefully a recoil pad will remedy the LOP on this rifle for me. Not many markings on this rifle, I am used to them being stamped all over the place, but this one only has 3 that I can find so far. Anyways enough talk, here are some pics:

Sir, your sporterised L-E has been sold out of service onto the commercial UK market. More in-focus images of the proofmarks will let us determine the date this may have happened.

Here is a better picture of it. Hopefully it is easier to make out. Numbers appear to match. The bore appears sharp but its not a mirror shine like my chromed barrels. I put 20 rounds through it in late August and it is still working great.
