I'm going to hazard a guess that unless Joe bought a szhit load of the CRFAM 870's, the reciever will be supplied by the buyer.

From the barrel length, I would guess two rounds only in the tube.

Damn I'm starting to want one....

They are complete guns - nothing is supplied by the buyer.

Whatever happens, it is a super cool 870, and makes my pet project look like an old junker next to it! The price isn't too bad, when you compare it to a handgun...or is it a hand shot-gun! Sweet sweet sweet, and I want one!

Hmm, that's either going to add to the bottom line, or result in a lot of surplus 18 inch barrels and factory stocks for sale.

You know I really still am at a loss of words, this is phuckin awesome.
It feels like christmas time when I was 5 all over again.

Everyone should give a round of applause and have a beer.

I want one, I want one :runaway: :runaway: :runaway:

Sign me up. Ballpark price range?

And the best part of this all is the bear defense threads have all met their match.

Since I got the very first really short Dlask gun maybe I should start the first bear defence thread ;) Thanks again to Dlask for a whole new approach to shotguns :)

Very cool but I really could use an answer to two questions:

1) I see the fore end strap - is there a greater chance of your hand slipping in front of the barrel (especially in a defence situation) with such a small forend and barrel?

2) Given our new understanding of the CFCs interpretation of the firearms act, can I put a hogue tamer on my 12.5" 870? Is there a FRT# for this configuration and do I need to re-register it?

I'm undecided if the 8.5 is too much of a good thing. I like the 4+1 capacity of the full mag and with my big hands I'm thinking a full size forend is safer for me.

Looks awesome. The front strap reminds me of a nintendo wii. I'm guessing it serves the same purpose: prevents it from flying out of careless hands.

I'd like to shoot one and I'll buy one when all the dust settles on the legality issues. After watching all the bullpup BS a couple years ago, I'm admittedly cautious.

I've just got to say "Congratulations for a job well done!" to UP and the Dlask gang for making this possible. A rare step forward for Canadian gun owners.

This could actually save lives in the bush for people whose lives aren't considered important enough to qualify for ATC. You can't always have a long gun in your hands, but on your hip is another story.

so then who's going to start making pistal grips for the IGA backpacker :D :D same rules should apply. but it'll be alot lighter, and cheaper :D

I wonder what interesting reactions I would get if I brought that little guy duck hunting.
You'd certainly have your own blind. I get enough complaints about the noise and flash when I use my 14" gun for skeet.;)

So Another question just to clear things up properly for me.
A pistol grip shotgun with a Folder cannot be shorter then 26 OAL.
A Pistol Grip only shotgun can be made as short as you wish as long as they are factory manufactured parts?.
So I could in theory take my 870 Magnum police shotty remove the LE folder and put a pistol grip, and a 14 or 12.5 inch barrel on it, or even shorter if i prefered and still remain perfectly legal?.

this kinda opens the door for ccw because whats to stop me from putting a shorty pistol grip 870 in my backpack/briefcase/glovebox and going on about my day ?
