Well Sabre has a whack of good comments and some huge government contracts...

apparently they did a group buy for AR15.com and they do engraving. I poached the pic from another forum and guy says to ignore the upper it was just "breakfreed" would love to see the other side! The AR-15 price was $152.. Don't know if that was a stripped lower... or completed... also don't know what the volume was.. and my Ar15.com password is on the other machine...

None the less my meds are kicking in better get to bed before they really start to hurt!.

Now I like this one. I really don't like the pictured selector on other pics I've seen.
It looks to much like a Euro-Trudea made in Quebec idea.

The maple leaf looks great. The CGN logo looks good.
But Please no cartoon pics.!
How much more than the $152 bucks I read here will they be?
A CGN reciever is a good idea. They may be collectors items some day.

Well its good to see folks coming forth and putting there ideas to "pen and paper" but the design is final. The only question is the "engraving or painting" of the lower. The "Chinese Parliament" part of this project was the "poll" and thats over. I really don't want to offend any of the CGN members but we can't and won't revisit the design, as stated before in previous posts this only leads to more indecision. Once we have heard back from John about the engraving, painting then we can decide on that based on the cost. I am willing to entertain any and all discussions that come into play with respect to cost. We obviously want to get the most "bang for the buck" and make the lower project accessible to all members regardless of there financial situation.

I'm still interested in two, price and timing depending as we just picked up two 16" LMT Defenders from Mark and the team at Questar. Between that and the Jeeps the fun account is taking some big hits lately.

sounds familiar, I spend all my money on guns and my jeep! good thing my wife makes big cash cause all my money is play dough!

I really don't care what it looks like I just want one. I wanted one of the first CGN lowers but I didn't have my ducks in a row. Now that I do, I can't wait to pay and get one coming. If I have a choice I'd like 005 or 048.

Since these are now going to be complete lowers, instead of stripped, can you give us a ballpark figure as to the per unit cost if 100 units are ordered?

Also, is the Wolverine Supplies logo going to be engraved, painted on, or stamped/rollmarked on the lower?

If we could get this cleared up ASAP, so we can all budget for the new toys, that would be great!:)

CGN is trying to get a custom lower group buy put together to celebrate their 5th year....
the design had gone though about 10 iterations and the final version is above (the one with the maple leaf)

Wolverine has stepped forward to put us together with one of their manufacturers (Sabre Defence) and get them into the country if we can cobble together 100 orders and deposits...

Their are some final issues going back and forth those are being discussed above..:sniper:
All of the above, and thanks for explaining it.:):)

I haven't read all the posts but I see two distinct versions that are creating quite a stir. Perhaps it would be cheaper, and easier to go with something like this, from grip plates. I have one of my own design and the quality is excellent. They attach via double sided tape(the plate is very secure) so they can be removed if need be. This would be cheaper, and more options could be provided for those interested. A group buy in rifles could still be done as well as on grip plates.
