OAL seems ok at 27 & 1/2 inches.......still can't figure out the trigger placement?

I didn't mean the length bit, he turned it into a bullpup basically and my understanding was that a bullpup is illegal if it can fire when the action is removed from the stock?

Duly noted the bullpup point - that's why I did the "smile" - personally found the trigger here:

P.S. Just as a point of interest...the trigger still seems to be intact and in the original "from-factory" position, all we are dealing with is the trigger-actuator being well-forward. Sticking-point?

Not sure which direction you want to go with this but I've began lusting after the GSG-5 my last tour though the states and as usual began a good think as to how I could pull it off. Since my SL8-K is my new varmint gun it's freed up my 10/22. So I got to pondering that with...

and I'd be almost there. After that there are a ton of options for pimp'n out the furniture to taste(I gravitate toward the SD6 as a faux-suppressor would mask the barrel). I figure around $500-600 all in (not including the rifle) and I'd have something as close a sh1t is to swearing. Done right I could forsee pulling of a mag modification as well so the 'appearance' would be seamless.

A UMP might be easier though as its all plastic... or even an MP7. I'm curious as to how yours will turn out!
