I was inspired by this build, so I came up with my own design.

I was actually lying in bed a couple nights ago not able to fall asleep due to thoughts of a higher capacity magazine for the grizzly mag, so I will throw this question out here: Would a double stack single feed mag be possible? Something with like 10-13 rounds? I was wondering how double stack single feed mags look like (well mostly the follower) does DSSF even exist?

I really dont think so because the shells are so fat. double stack works with 9mm and .40 because they are of a smaller diameter and as such can be double stacked into a slimmer magazine.

Only a single stacked magazine can fit in the grizzly mag well, and you would still need the same follower size to get the last round out, otherwise a wider follower (likely needed for double stack mag) would only go so far up the stack before getting hung up with a few shells on the taper of the mag (hard to describe what I am trying to say)

all that being said, I had issues with the standard mag:

I would love a higher capacity mag for the grizz regardless, but seems like it just wont happen without making them longer or some of these drum designs

I have that same problem. I have 1 Norinco mag and 2 DA mags.
Not sure witch one does it though.

Tiny TIM. Very nice.

I wish I marked the mags that failed on the spot and ran a 2nd drill.

Buy I only brought a box and a half of shells and had another new shotgun to test.... hopefully next time, but its not that often I get the range to myself

I'm out shooting tomorrow I'll try and keep track.

I know exactly what you are saying as it was what kept me up all night! Haha I was trying to think of follower designs that would work. I don't know much about the griz magwell as my mag-fed is currently only a preorder at Canadaammo.
A long single stack single feed would work. But even 10 would be a big thing sticking out the bottom. Drums is it maybe. Tiny Tim's looks good. If I were to make one I think I would go with a top feed not off to the side. I dunno. I have yet to build a drum. I have very limited tools for metal forming. I would like to see the internals of that homemade drum

hmmm you know, maybe the same follower would actually work, maybe if it was rounded off at the top even more and just sort of guided itself into the top taper of the mag.

hmmmmm x2...... actually, if the very bottom of the follower was widened to fit the wider double stack mag, it should actually keep it stable all the way to the top, seeing as the actual follower is quite long hmmmmmm

Thats what I was kind of thinking. Maybe a guide rail/slot in the back of the mag? Or I guess if it was widened it wouldn't need much guiding. This is the type of thing that I think about when my brain doesn't shut off at night haha

this very crude pic should illustrate, I think totally doable. Double stack beside original single stack

now if canada ammo decides to bring a mag fed cougar then this is all moot anyway

Yep I hear ya. I was thinking maybe put a little slant in it? Might mess things up tho. I think Tiny Tim wins here...did you read that post?! Small and 20 rounds. I wish I had laser cutters and cnc stuff

The front of the magazine would have to be narrower, with the rounds sitting on top of each other in the front in a bit of a "V" formation with the rims barely overlapping. Look at the PMR-30 magazines for reference. It'd be a hell of a job to design and manufacture.

While a bit off topic, I honestly feel like a .50 caliber rimless (or rebated rim), full brass shotgun round would be immensely popular, especially in the US.
