Sorry guys, I have been a little swamped at work.
Waiting on a new spring, the original one did not make it past the 15th reload. (this is why stress testin is important)

Dweano, I did not forget about you, picyures to follow soon.

No rush, chances are I won't be able to make one myself. My inner "how does that work" mind is just racing tho haha. 20 rounds in less than six inches? Has to be two layers of shells then...which makes me wonder about the spring system and the follower :D So curious!

Here is a quick inner working picture.

Its 3 shells stacked in each opening

Wow. That looks great. Reminds me of an 75 rnd AK drum.

The problem Im having is the feed angle coming out the the tower. The factory mags have a fair amount of nose up angle. When I try to increase this buy increasing the angle between the tower and the body of the drum, I get alot of binding where the shells transition from the body to the tower.

I tried to exending the feed ramp into the mag with limited sucess.

Gas Can,
Thank you, yes I got the idea from an AK drum magazine.

My first attempted looked alot like yours, but held to little shells.

This is my second attempted. One issue I am having is that 3 and 1/2 shells fit in the neck, so I need to reduce the height, or increase it to 4.

Finding a spring powerful enough to turn 20 shells in itself is proving difficult.

If it works, I'll design a Beta-C Shotgun Drum Magazine, ie: 2 of my mags together, 50 rounds should be fun.

Any luck on the mythical Grizzly Drum?

Dave, I am still waiting on my new springs.

How do the rounds get all the way to the top? Is there a reason for an offset feed instead of center feed?

Dweano,

There are 3 shell spacers (machined aluminum shell shaped pieces) that push the shells up the feed neck. (not pictured)

There are 2 feed wheels, larger cutout at the back (shell shoulder), smaller for the front. (open side)

This allows for a center feed on the mag neck.
