Some more inflammatory evil thoughts to ponder - 3D printing is going to become commonplace and lower receivers machined for full auto are a no-no, but.... What if someone had the files to print one but didn't? They have the machine and the capability but they don't actually produce the part. Is that breaking any laws? Then, as someone pointed out, what if someone 3D printed a mould to cast polymer full auto lowers but instead of using polymer, they cast them out of hard candy. (cooked sugar) thus producing parts that are identical to unregistered illegal parts but edible and fragile? I wonder what if any charges could be laid? Unregistered restricted (or prohibited), replica, being a ####? Much like the people that baked cookies to look like phones to annoy the distracted driving types, I wonder how much of a ####storm this would cause.
