Handgun Ban

From a government briefing we've learned the handgun prohibitions will come into effect after Bill C-21 receives royal assent.
Unfortunately... it's looking like another Order in Council is coming to be used for restricting magazines, restricting import of ammo, update firearm marking regulations, and strengthen secure storage regulations.
The NDP and Liberals are strong enough to push this legislation through quickly. Only hope left is that the Conservatives grow a spine after leadership and introduce a repeal when they eventually form government.

When I first bought my Norinco AKS it was Non-Restricted, then it became restricted and me being the LAGO brought it to the local Cop shop and registered it, then it became prohibited but I could still take it to the range, then after the Mayerthorpe shootout it became a safe queen relegated to the back of my safe never to fire a round again.

Does anyone know if there is time before the bill gets pushed through to get a RPAL and get a transfer complete?

I got my RPAL last year. It took several months.
I think even I might even be screwed to get the handgun I just paid for last night.

So sick of hearing this come out of people's mouths. Can all you conservative voters say you're happy with your vote from last round? Where have the cons, THE OFFICIAL "opposition" been the past few years, taking a hard stance on puppy mills and sitting around breweries sucking beers with O'foole while the Lib/NDP run rampant on our rights

If everyone that said this BS voted PPC we would have a fighting chance at some seats and some REAL change

Somehow I doubt they'll be buying anything back, they'll get them one way or another , and he knows full well that our legally obtained firearms aren't an issue.
Any thoughts on parts after the handgun ban comes into effect? It seems like those that have handguns will be allowed to keep them and use them at a range (as they can today). I am curious about the ones I have or may get soon if I will be legally able to source parts etc. if something needs to be replaced? If not then eventually they will become useless if used a lot. So wondering about getting what I may need for parts now. Thoughts? I understand the rules could change again in the future but really trying to understand how to future proof my current situation until the rules change again. I have a couple of 22’s, want a CZ Shadow 2 OR.
