Handgun Hunting Support

How many of you would like to have it back?

  • YES, I strongly support it.

    Votes: 464 88.7%
  • I do not know what to think.

    Votes: 22 4.2%
  • NO, I would newer support it.

    Votes: 37 7.1%

  • Total voters
    523
Well so far today the YES seem to have an overwhelming majority and the NO is well under 10%

Its the I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK that proves you even get less votes by sitting on the fence.

What you fellas are proposing is the same thing. All of a sudden people will want to get a hunting license so they can pack heat.

So what? So what if they all go get a licence so they can hunt with a handgun in the bush? Really, so what?

Maybe we would have even more numbers on our side the next time the liberals try to take away handguns.

Taking away our handguns does bother you, no?

PS. How do you know anybody you meet in the woods is not packin' anyway? Sure we are well aware of the law, but how do you know?

See, there ya go. Post a question, choose your option and come out like a man stating where you stand, no more...no less. The mud slinging begins, the little insignificant trolls come out of the wood work with their "hypocrit" statements, or even worse...."yeah....what he says". Some of the wingnuts can't even go through the process of a civil debate, and you want to hunt with handguns???? gimme a ####ing break.

Gatehouse, I wasn't expecting that from you, but then again, I've been wrong before. The "snob" - that's me will put that ball back in your court.

Then make your argument..Your main argument seemed to be "The Co's will have to deal wiht people that posess guns and We dont' want ot be like Americans" Which I feel is being a snob....

Actually gitrdun, your first post said simpley that you are against hand gun hunting. And here is where you elaborate when asked and "come out like a man" as you say:

Don't throw that bulls**t argument about "sticking together" at me OK. Maybe you need a hug because I don't share your opinion, ... too bad. If you are so offended by my democratic choice, then have a moderator remove options 2 and 3, and you can be happy all over again.

Foxer: hey no problem, someone fires me a bomb...I fire back. But your point is taken nevertheless.

Gatehouse: I did try to briefly make my point. The added bureaucracy, the added negative exposure that will be brought forth into our ranks is just not worth it in MY opinion. Believe it that some will jump on something like this to further fuel their desire to completely ban hunting of all types. Why not take care of and work on preserving something that we all enjoy just the way it is without bringing further negative attention to our cause. I don't have a crystal ball, but I'm sure that anyone with a single grain of common sense will know that hunting accidents will surely go on the rise if handguns are allowed. That would only spell the beginning of the demise.

As far as Americans go, how could stating that I don't feel compeled to copy cat their ways makes me a snob, it doesn't make me anti-American it just me makes me Canadian eh!

Anyways, that's enough of that...too much time spent on this thread.

Over and OUT. :)

I think it would be fantastic if for nothing else you could use the argument of bear defence when a shotgun is not managable and rimmy pistols for trappers and small game hunters to dispatch animals lots do anyway . i agree it causes concern perhaps a special licence good be given after a specific course and screening to do so.

Why would any more bureaucracy be needed? Handguns are already registered, restricted and need a transport permit.

Well if that's what you think being Canadian is then I guess it makes you that.
