HERA H6 Rifle .223 Rem 18" Non-Restricted

This Rifle and the Tombstone PLA-9 next MadMax movie.
And of corse there will be another MadMAx movie because Hollywood is rinse and repeat.
Vectors are getting old.

wow.. I love it, will place order as soon as its available. Dont care as much for 308 version, have Sig Cross that covers that, but the .223 or even better 6.5 grendel would be great.

The mag isn't out the side....It's out the bottom. Your holding it wrong. You shoot that thing gangsta.
and if you turn it the other way it's a bren.

Side loading is common on little known guns like the M60 (or most things chain fed) its a very effective system.

M60 is belt fed my guy, if you wanted to check out something chain fed you could look at something like the M242 that we put in our LAVs or the M230's the Americans put on their Apaches :)

These things didn't win me over the idea of getting one of them over the Bronco I want to get next year but I love that they exist lol that half folding butt stock is more weird to me than the side loading personally lol It's also just a little long for my tastes, novel concept aside, but I'd love to check one out in person one day.

As for anyone worried about "mag well blow outs" rupturing the receiver shooting 556 and a side loading magwell being more dangerous than a bottom loaded magwell I wish you luck on your roof armouring to protect you from deorbiting satellites because you're looking at comparable probabilities.

was this an invention by a dentist? Hope it doesn't have any recoil. Wouldn't look good to a person with no hold to shoulder?

Unless you mount your teeth directly on the magazine with the typical felt 3-4lb recoil of a 223 round I think you should be OK, lol.

Anyways I think its cool.

They solved the double stack feeding problem in an unconventional way. If you use a two lug bolt, it's next to impossible to get the magazine high enough to strip the rounds correctly without having feeding errors like crazy. To get a 3 lug bolt to feed is even harder, it not impossible, if you have one lug at the top and the other two at 120* and 240*. Alternative is to flip this to one lug pointing down, so it fits between the magazine lips. Doing this then creates problems with the trigger position and your cocking piece.

They've put the magazine out of the plane where the trigger/cocking piece area to get around this. From the looks of it, it appears to be a 60* throw, so triple lug format. To have one at 270* for the magazine, the other two are in an unconventional position, but it avoids the cocking piece.

They wanted to do a bolt gun with AR double stack mags and they made it work. That aside, I think the grip/butt could have been a more elegant design, pretty cool rifle!!
