Flood , interesting.... well these rifles have been on special since late last year...
Then it's time to drop the prices even more for a flood sale.

The problem is these s/s rifles with synthetic stock are made to endure harsh weather so I think we’re out of luck...
We can only hope that they would drop the prices some more...
I have taken elk and moose with 100gr .257" bullets, but I was much more selective with the shots that I would take. It's all a matter of personal preference, and I now prefer at least a .284" bullet for my moose and elk hunting.
Wish they'd bring back the .260 Rem in all the standard Rem 700 line, including the SPS.......................

Unless you reload where .308 brass can be used and is more than plentifull, it's probably not the best for you. I mean how much will you save on the initial rifle over a more common round? It's feeding the gun where the money is!
The 260 rifles are selling for about $500 less than the other chamberings. As far as feeding the gun, neither brass or bullets are overly expensive, and primers and powder are the same price as for other cartridges.
$500.00 is quite significant. It would pay your initial investment in reloading equipment right there!
It's not about cost.If it was,I would be shooting a Steven with a Bushnell scope. So what are you waiting for... Pick up that 260 Rem. and save a bundle.
You didn’t do all that research for nothing.

I seen on AR forum that it seems Sako is clearly out the 338 Federal also for $725 US - one dealer bought them all up supposedly
