That is also what I do with my zastava, husky. The reason I asked this question is I want to make sure I do not miss out the usefulness of the hinged floor plate. I had always thought it as appendix, which is existing but useless. That's the expensive way to do it.
I've never found it particularly arduous to cycle 4-6 rounds through a bolt rifle to unload it. Especially with CRF...no need to chamber the round at all, just let it pop out of the action and eject. Another reason CRF is better.
I have found it painful to cycle each of the four rounds from my Zastava 9.3. I'm a road hunter, it is so easy to use box magazine for my savage. But for Zastava, I have to cycle it before entering my truck. What do you guys do? Open the floor plate to have the 4 rounds drop on the dirt?
Hold the rifle with one hand around the rifle at the floor pl ate.
Release the catch with the other hand.
Slowly let the plate open and catch the cartridges in your hands.
Innovative.
Nice of you to admit to that, not many men would openly say that! Some folks frown big time on that type of hunting! Anyway, I hear ya. Box magazines are not for the "road hunter"! The hinged floor plate is not the most desirable for this type of hunting, either. What you want is the HDM. Hunter's Delight Magazine! Or if you will, a detachable magazine. You can make a last min (even second) decision as to whether or not to snatch it or snap it! Depending on the situation at hand.

Obviously, you are trolling. Nothing knowledgeable from your post. Garbage in, garbage out.The best part of this troll is that buddy would have to load multiple rounds ,to later unload, after spotting the animal and exiting the truck if he was following the regs...
