How long do I need to wait for shipping ?

You guys know the prices of the items are cheaper when they go the the local gun show, right? Anything you buy online from their website costs more. Your shipping is built into the price... just saying...

^holy crap! I'm flying out to BC for the next gun show to save money!

And as far as wait times go, CanAm is basically on par with any US distributor at the moment, I think it's just something we have to get used to for the time being. If people aren't willing to wait, it's as simple as shopping elsewhere.

This is just getting stupid. Anybody with enough access to CGN to post a thread inquiring why it takes so long for CANAM to ship must have read the other 30037373 threads about the same thing. Can we make a sticky and be done with it already. jeeezus.

My biggest problem is not that it takes forever to ship. Some people are just slow... My problem is that it takes them no time to charge my credit card. No other retailer I was buying from online did it. I was always charged a maximum a day before the item was shipped. I am waiting for over a month, but was charged on the second day after placing the order. This part is what makes it unacceptable for me. I understand cheap prices are cool, but I consider such behavior as an example of scam and I do not like to support such business. When I am spending 300-400 on gun and/or another few hundreds on ammo I do not mind to add $35 for shipping, but get the order within a week or two and being charged when item is shipped. Another retailer gave me 10% discount after charging me in full because I bought the last item in the inventory and it was damaged and he had to delay shipping. I was asked do I want to wait a week and get 10% back or I would like to get a full refund. That is what I call dealing fair with the customer. Guess where I would be spending my money.

I understand they are having challenges, The customer service there is great and they always answer my emails within a day.

But… I am the type of consumer who looks and looks, hums and haws and finally when I decide to purchase, I want it now… So this long delay doesn’t really work for me.

I placed an order with Canada Ammo and another site sponsor on the same day (Monday long weekend) had product in hand from other vendor on Thursday (And I live in rural central BC) on the other hand CA did not even process my order until a week later and even now has not been shipped…

So would I recommend Canada Ammo … yes… but only if you are willing to wait… Is this going to affect their sales … Yes, a lot of people are the same as me, online is becoming the normal business model and if you can’t process and ship in a timely manner you will not survive.

I know I have seen the posts about hiring more people and I hope this is only temporary.

I don't think it's "poor service" if it's consistently slow. It's one thing if the delays were random or service people were rude. They're simply overwhelmed, feels like only one guy is doing everything part time. So it's just something you need to take into account when you order. If you need your ammo or gun sooner than a month from now, DO NOT ORDER. If you've got a supply and are thinking ahead to a month from now when you'll need another 1000 45s, then go ahead.

Well, yes, of course. I don't think that's a mystery to anyone. However, all but one gun show is a very long drive from my home...not that I have the time anyway. And being able to shop from my desk, and having someone bring the items to my office is THE best.

That is just to simple an observation .. If someone is buying on line and online prices are the same from three retailers, or within $5.00 .. Then if not in a hurry .. Free shipping is a plus. Many buyers only have online as an option.

I actually paid for shipping on my order. It was "processed" going on two weeks now and I haven't received the Canada Post Tracking #......just saying.

I know what you are saying...I doubt the free shipping is the real issue, but some folks seem to want to use it as an excuse
to justify the long waits for product.

Quite true. I paid shipping on my order and it is local. and 25 days later, not shipped. So the free shipping thing won't wash. I ordered a crate of ammo from SFRC on the 27th and it was shipped today..
Again, now that I know the wait times I will know what to expect and not get pssed off.

Well, that's it right there, isn't it? Going in eyes-wide-open helps...

And yes, the free shipping is for over $200...or perhaps on specific items less than $200.
I don't use the free ship as an "excuse"...it, and the prices, are simply a trade-off vis-a-vis the wait.

BTW, received my order today.
28 days from order to delivery.
I'm happy b/c I couldn't find the ammo elsewhere...and it was less $ than elsewhere when it can be found.

My order that I placed at the beginning of this month just shipped yesterday and should arrive tomorrow. The price was good and shipping was free, which was great. Slightly frustrating to have to wait 3 weeks but I knew it wasnt going to be quick when I ordered my new rifle.

This tread is just too funny. Why people are willing to forgive anything to one retailer because they have cheaper ammo or guns compared to another retailer ? If they do something wrong - it is still wrong. Irrelevant that they are better or worth than others. Are you willing to forgive Conservatives everything because they better than NDP or Liberals ? No. You vote, but then you still not willing to accept their mistakes and wrong doings. So, why do you have to accept unreasonable and unethical behavior from an online vendor ? Just to clarify - my problem is not long shipping. My problem is getting charged full amount upfront and the retailer keeping my money for over a month without sending me the goods. Either send right away or do not charge until you are ready. Charge deposit of $50 if you are really concerned, but not full price. Do I get financial interest from them for keeping and using my money for a month? No. I get nothing. And you guys can praise them as much as you want and flame me as much as you want. It does not change the fact it is a scam. And it is wrong. And you or me buying or not buying from them does not change this fact.

Wait times for ammo delivery!

Just a quick question addressed to knowledgeable members who have dealt with canada ammo in the past and/or to canada ammo itself:

How long does it take for an order to be processed and shipped in Canada?

I have been waiting for almost 30 days now and already sent an e-mail and I did not get feedback.

I realize that they are busy, it says so right on their website, but a quick e-mail saying that your order will be shipped ### time should have been sent to me advising me on the lag times... IMHO.

What are their current wait times?

Please let me know.

Cordially,

Georges
