How long do I need to wait for shipping ?

Slow service. Took my money and didn't ship my package!

I placed my order on the 13th of May. Can ammo charged my credit card on the 21st.

Its now been 10 days and they haven't shipped my package. Why on earth would they charge my card and not ship it right after it went through?

I emailed them a few days ago with no reply. I called but it said they were not taking calls at this point in time.

Is anyone else having this long of a delay from when they charge your card until when they ship your package?

Thanks.

There have been so many of these...
Check the other threads where all thoughts on the issue have been rehashed and exhausted already.

Expect about a month to fulfill an order, it's been like that ~forever. I have yet to read of someone who got their order processed within reasonable amount of time.

well....No.
I Disagree
Don't charge until it is boxed and labelled READY to SHIP Period!

They do it because all you guys Roll Over and say that is O.K.

It is not worth the wait.

So many other stores ship next day..... You think they are not busy

I agree, no charging the card until its ready to ship would be the best policy.

if we sit and wait for a month, now we pay interest on that money that we used to by the product. Many of us try to pay off our credit cards before the interest is accrued.

And even if you don't do that, they are using your money for free for a month.

Not bashing, just spitballing facts. I still use them, as they often have what I want/need. I have yet to have it take that long as well, close once, but not that long.

I've been waiting over a month. I have other guns, and another 1911 .45 so its not like I'm sitting with nothing to shoot. I don't think I'm rolling over at all. I knew this was going to take a long time to get when I ordered. There is no shortage of posts saying how long these orders are taking so this shouldn't be taking anyone by surprise, and you can always cancel the order if you don't want to wait any longer. You have to remember that they have to wait for the transfer to be done before they can ship. If they are sending transfers in hundreds at a time that's going to take a while. Remember we're dealing with the Federal Government here. Also I think its completely reasonable that they charge your card before its ready to ship. If they did wait until they were ready to ship I'm sure there would be many cases of where they would go through the hassle of getting the transfer completed then find the customers credit card is declined. And I used to work in retail, lots of people try to purchase things on credit cards that come up declined for one reason or another. Just my humble opinion.

Patience grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait.

I don't think it's been like that "forever". It seems to have started just after that Norinco 45 and 1000 round deal came to be. Before that my orders were processed and shipped in a few days most of the time. This too shall pass and I expect things will get back to a state of normalcy when this deal is done. If it's any consolation to people, my payment was accepted and the order processed over a month ago and I'm still waiting. Am I happy? No. Worth worrying over? No. It'll get here when it gets here. In the meantime I have plenty of other guns to shoot the zombies with!!!!

Things can go slow. I believe I had an average wait until I got a letter from the local C.F.O. Seems that my collector status was being questioned or had to be verified. This will have added a week to processing but it will be worth the wait.

Yes! My last order was $1100.00. CanAm had my money for twelve days before I received my product. Base on what that money would have earned me if not sitting as a balance on my current credit card statement, I would have made.......Let's see here...carry the one.....NOTHING!

Where do you people bank? I am obviously missing the killer interest boat.

And here I am only complaining that CanAm keeps taking my money... I forgot all about the shipping part, chuckle... (Aside from teasing you, did you not notice right on the front page at CanAm that they are VERY VERY VERY busy?)

Two Tavor's, an 858, 1911 and cases & cases of ammo later, I am a very happy camper!

Now, hurry up with my T97!!! HE HE HE

Cheers
Jay

I'm not sure but whenever I purchase items online. I always pay first ?

Twelve days is a little long I would say but you do save in price difference. IMO if you want items right away buy local. If you can purchase items online be prepared to wait

Canada ammo has always been fast for me. Longest was the 1911 combo. From payment to it in my hands was two weeks

My 2 order with CanAm so far have following statistics (from receipt to shipment notification):
- christmas 2012: 13 days
- early 2013: 20 days

Given that roughly 20% of the cards are declined, that would be tough to handle
To some extend, you are looking for trouble. I have the money when I make the order. If you take a week (or more) to process it, the money might no longer be there. I am purposely using a dedicated credit card with a low limit for online transaction only.
