###iest hunting rifle.

That Sauer is pretty nice. I have seen some Purdey's and Rigby rifles that would be the ###iest IMO. Those old european arms makers sure can turn out a nice rifle.

Probably gonna get some hate on for this one but...

Converted Browning BAR by Waffen Greger

And I think the BAR's themselves are pretty ###y

Sauer 202
Winchester 71
Sako 75
Browning/Winchester 1885

I own none of these. I have a hard time hunting with pretty rifles as it's hard to keep them that way. I hunt with an old Savage 99E and a Savage 114 American classic. The Savage 114 is prettier than the rest of the savages but that really isn't saying much. I more or less look at it as the least ugly.

Okay, seriously...if money is no object, then a quality big-bore SxS double rifle, express sights, some case-colours, minimal engraving or none at all, red-rubber pad...and some honest wear showing on the wood and the blueing.

If money is a harsh reality...then the Ruger #1S, with Alex Henry forearm, 26-inch barrel, in some kind of classy cartridge, preferably rimmed.

And I'll have to admit: a bolt gun will never fall into this category for me. They can be stainless/synthetic tools, or they can be quite nicely done up with blue and walnut...but they're just bolt guns. The nicest, shiniest, most powerful, most comfortable, smoothest-running pickup truck in the world...is still a pickup truck.

I love any and all full stock rifles (luv my No.1-RSI 7X57 and would like to add a M77-RSI .308)... singles, bolts, all...

But for pure ###y lines... I agree with John (although I prefer the 22" barrel to the 26", for handling) and the OP and several others on this old thread... The Ruger No.1-A and 1-S and 1-H with the Alex Henry forearm, ###y curves, rib and irons, and the barrel band stud, with nicely figured walnut on the darker side with a slight reddish tinge... is as ###y as they come... I have had a dozen or so over the years... have four in the stable now and am looking to add one more;

Wow. Those are fantastic looking with the deep red wood.
