Stupid question, but is this part of a UN policy to reduce the small arms trade?

My company deals with the DOS staff all the time. We had better get use to not getting short barrelled ARs, collapsible stocks, mildot scopes, 50 cals....etc the list goes on. Things are going to get worse so bear that in mind. The Dept of State is not granting licences for a whole host of things. Little things that were minor in nature will rapidly become unobtanium. Worst of it is...there is nothing we can do about...

I'm not doubting anyone's word on this but we've heard the report from one individual with no other importers having spoken up regarding the issue. I hope it's a case of misleading information that has been passed in error, to Rick. Otherwise, it's more fore warning of what is likely to come.
Picked up a Brand new 700 P from a local gun store this weekend , it's the last one they had , so I thought just in case ?? , It looks good allong side my 5R at least i have one if they become unavaliable
