JARD J180 , new NR but no distributors carry em ?

Honestly i dont get the Canadian 180 hate. The latest WS-MCR looks pretty refined for the $1300 they are asking. Seems like most of the hate is stemming from the Kodiak Defense stuff.

I have two J48.
Problems.
Some parts were not completely hardened. Jard sent out replacement parts.
AR mag based it was a bit fussy on magazines and feeding, mostly soved by sticking to GI aluminum 5/30 full sized mags.
DI systems can be very particular on ammo differences in pressures.
A lot of standard Ars have the same issues.
An adjustable gas block gets over all this.
There was some tlk of bolt bounce within the receiver, but I suspect that this may have been more caused by issues of various magazine seating height issues and icedibly differing pressure returns affecting the bolt and carrier movement. Standard maga and an adjustable gas block fixed this.
The improvements I see are in the cocking handle being held in by the return spring.
A very simple yet innovative improvement. Also being able to use common AR barreles and parts.
Jard was under a lot of pressure to put the J48s on the Canadian market fast.
Everyone forgets the consumer and retail screaming to look for alternaties in a hurry.
Those issues never had the chance to undergo enough beta testing.
Jard should not be blamed for giving us what we screamed for early.
Their trigger and barrels are great.
Our Canadian consumer demand for instant production is what was not in patience.

It looks like the J48 used a carbine length gas tube; I would be curious how the gas system would work on the J180 for rifle or mid length gas tubes on a longer Grendel or 7.62 x 39 mm builds. And of course I am curious if lessons learned on the J48 combined with the time that has passed have been used to improve the J180. I could see people who want complete rifles preferring the WK or MCR; for all their teething problems, Canadian made piston 180 designs have matured significantly. Those willing to take a chance on the unknowns of a 180 Direct Impingement hybrid will those with AR parts who refused to make a "cope gun" manual action firearm with their AR parts, wanting a semi-automatic firearm if at all possible. This will still be a smaller market, because some will still see a 180 based design as a "cope gun" and not want to break up their AR-15 on the hopes the OIC can be reversed; the remainder of the semi-automatic enthusiasts with donor AR-15s may give this a try either in addition to the WX-MCR, or in place of the WX-MCR, since they can use a standard handguard with them. Of course, this is all pending the build kit being sold in Canada. Only time will tell.
Before you all jump in, I highly recommend you hold one in person,before you buy one.

The J 48 was the worst POS I've owned,worst than the SU16,but double the price.
It might have an half DESCENT barrel and trigger ,but it stops there. Trust me...lol

Just needs a bolt release now. I wish the MCR would go back to right side charging and add a dust cover. That would go a long ways towards closing up the receiver.

Alright but seriously, if it's reliable, sure, but newer designs where you are the beta tester are now very suspect to me.
How many people are experiencing jams from stuff entering the receiver? Answer : none.

Cool story. Mine has about 2k rounds through it and no jams. I'd still rather have one with a closed up receiver for hunting in ####ty weather and shooting in really windy, dusty conditions. I've shot matches in the States that are dusty enough to make some bolt guns start binding up, it wouldn't exactly be shocking to me if a nice coating of gritty dust on your trigger group and bcg lead to some issues.
