I would thread the barrel , then spin up on a lathe a fake silencer that slides over the barrel & threads at the muzzle end .

Isn't the barrel triangular?

" Bonus points if you can tell what it's made of "
Is that foam waterpipe insulation?
Any idea what barrel threading is worth?
Ahhh, those Spike's look like the perfect fit. My foam is almost exactly 1.5" in diameter, so the SD-1 would be ideal.

Too bad there isn't a slip-on version though. I hate to have to send the barrel off for threading just to attach a fake can.
But I probably will.

You are a farmer in Saskatchewan & you don't have a lathe ?![]()
I can only imagine the carnage that would ensue if I tried to cut threads into a nice rifle barrel.
Seriously though I'm sure you must have a machine shop in your area.
If you don't want to thread the barrel you could just get a piece of aluminum round stock the length you want & bore it to slide over the barrel & drill & thread several holes in the tube & use set screws to hold it on![]()
The only difference between you Southbend 10L and this 9A is the dirt and old paint job. Believe me, that lathe is more than capable of doing everything you need to thread a barrel, IF you know how to use the latheIn fact, the 10L is a more capable machine as it's a little heavier.
