JR Carbine Unboxing, Firing & Takedown Videos

Hey Farmer Harv, have you taken the barrel off of yours? I am just curious to see how easy it will be to switch calibers on them once the kits come out.

Yah, things are starting to ramp up here alright, and apparently I missed a few posts here.

Anyhoo, I'm still waiting on an AR tool so haven't had a chance to take off the barrel yet. As soon as I'm able there'll be pics and/or a video, and hopefully that'll be within a couple of weeks.

I haven't tried any other triggers since installing the RRA single stage. It's heavy, but breaks clean and most importantly has been 100% reliable.

I know this makes me sound like a troll and I know there is a classification difference, but my 9mm AR has never had a FTF or FTE in hundreds of rounds - even using black follower LAR mags.

I don't think I'd spend that kind of money on a 9mm carbine with that many inherent stoppages. But then, I shoot 9mm only at the range.

When your back door opens up to a square mile of nothing, a restricted AR is as useless as a doorstop to you.
I would pay twice as much for a half as reliable non-restricted gun. d:h:

Exactly as Randas said. When I can legally walk out of my shop with a 9mm AR and shoot to my heart's content we can discuss this further, but until then I'll continue to enjoy the JR..."inherent stoppages" and all.

Permission use that as sigline Randas? Sums up why I don't own AR's perfectly. :D

Just find the right ammo. My reloads have yet to fail once in my JR. I'd estimate 350 rounds so far. My Norinco M4 is at about 1700 rounds failure free. Hopefully my JR follows the same path.

So Farmer Harv & Reddog...any more news to report? Put more rounds downrange? How are they holding up?

Banana Joe: yours fixed? If yes what was the issue?

Regards,

My issues with extraction were due to the dry lube I was using on the bolt I believe (hoppes dry lube originally) switched through a few till I found one that didn't bind up the bolt and all was good.

My.. so far works great.
