65 for mine. They spoke to my reff's and after 6 weeks of nothing happening I phoned up and the wonderful women removed it from the bottom of the pile (said she didn't know why it was there) and I had it 4 days later. :) just a nice phone call was all it took. If I had not called who knows when it would have been done.

HI I live in SW ONT took about 30 days for renewal of prohibed and restrictied PAL no checks were made that I am aware of

19 days.
Got it on Monday and faxed in the LTATT application the same day.
The VISA card is in my hand and the car is running in the driveway for the quick trip to Reliable Gun for my Glock as soon as it arrives.

this waiting games hard so i gave them a call today its been over 5 weeks and all they had to say is it went to the province 3 weeks ago and it will be atlest 4-6 week more:bangHead:

42 Days (from the day I mailed it, to the day I was holding the license in my hands.) here in BC, which is pretty good considering I have never held a license before, and my credit card got declined, and instead of calling me, they sent me a notice in the mail.

Just got it 10 minutes ago :D

Woohoo!

it's been 2 weeks since i did both tests back to back and still waiting for my acceptance. How long should that usually take?

I already have my paperwork done to send in to the CFO. My ex was the first i had sign......phew!!!!

Should i fax it in or epress mail? Don't they want to see real signatures? It's my first RPAL-PAL.

You need to mail it. It would be pretty hard to fax your photo as they need to see the signature of your guaranteeor(sp) that is on the back of it.

I've been waiting SEVEN AND A HALF MONTHS! The area firearms officer is jerking me around because I had the nerve to call to see what the holdup was after three months. He's gone so far as to call me, in march, and tell me he had no proof I took my safety courses. I sent in the original proof with my application, and it's all on file in the computer system anyway.

When I called in January, he told me flat out that he hadn't even looked at my application yet! I contacted the office of the chief firearms officer two weeks ago, they were very professional and sounded quite confused as to what the holdup was. Twenty minutes after I got off the phone with the the NB CFO, the AFO called me with some bull line about him having a couple more people to talk to. He hasn't even called my references yet.

One of his lines was that he needed to do an INTERPOL search on me, because I travel internationally with my job.:jerkit:

End of rant.
