Took C(R)FSC course: Mar. 29/30th
Course evaluation forms arrive from CFO: April 24th
Mailed RPAL application package: April 24th
CFC website says RPAL application package arrived April 29th: May 7nd
RCMP call my references and myself: May 8th
CFC website says licence issued and card in mail: May 27th
Card arrived in mail: June 4th
In local gunshop doing some windowshopping and being able to handle some pistols rather than just look at them: June 4th *grin*

So roughly 41 days from mailing the package, but 66 days altogether.

Still waiting.

I did my restricted course last saturday and challenged the unrestricted because I ain't interested in hunting anyway, I am supposed to get the letter stating if I passed or not in about 3 more weeks and then I have to file the application for my PAL/RPAL but when I get everything I will let you know how long it took.

I am only wondering if there is a law or regulation about how long they are allowed to take before sending it out like they have in the US but I doubt it though from what I have seen here in the thread.

But will let you know as soon as I get everything. *walks around in a circle waiting*

61 days since i mailed it they called my referneces a month ago and for the last month the cfc site says "in process" which i think means held up by ontario cfo
ANdy
still waiting

The CFC received my application Apr 28. About two weeks later I received a letter stating that I was missing some info. I phoned and got that straightened out. (I forgot to check a box). They called me and one of my references about 2 days after that and my license arrived today June 5.-- Hooray.

They recieved mine May 1 and I'm still waiting....I sent my friend and mines in the same envelope and his shows issued last week on the 28th day mine still shows processing:mad:

Welcome to HELL. =oP

I was supposed to get the paperwork that my examiner sent in back within 2 weeks, 4 weeks later i'm still waiting :(. I'm so antsy to get my little plastic card!

I am exactly the same way, but from what my instructor told me it would be a waiting time of around a month before I would get a letter or two from the government stating if I passed or failed.

And then we have to pay $80 for the application and have to wait approximately 45 days or so to get it back with the plastic card.

I think it will take more then 45 days for me because I have to write them a paper about why I checkmarked depression and stuff so you might have it a lot sooner then me. =oP

After 46 days I called the CFC and my application was held up because someone with the same name as me got into some sort of trouble 2 years ago in a city I haven't lived in for 10 years. He said he didn't think it was me but had to ask:confused:

My application was flagged and being held by the Alberta CFO. He just hadn't got around to calling me yet. I wish I would have called sooner because 30 minutes after I talked to him the online status changed to:

"Current Status: Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canada Firearms Centre Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)":sniper:

Can I check the status online? If so, how?

Took me about 5 months... Turns out i have an "evil twin" in Edmonton thats a criminal. Same name and birthday.

Same thing happened to me with somebody in Regina...not sure about the birthday part. Got mine in 8 weeks + 1 day mailbox to mailbox. The evil twin delay added 2 weeks.
