Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

While on the subject of Belgian guns, here's a very nice Pieper hammer gun courtesy of John (Londonshooter). I find it to be quite an agile gun and I look forward to taking it out this fall.

Sold three Belgian hammer guns this year which made plenty of room to justify this Italian. Its a 1960's V. Bernardelli Brescia model in 12 ga with full length 20 ga. Briley companion tubes. Like the ones I sold, this was on the EE for only a few hours so maybe the hammergun market is heating up(?).
Will have another coming back soon from Chris - a nice French gun that I will post later.

Very early A.H.Fox B-grade with 26" barrels and half pistol grip. Serial 15XX. The walnut grain is very nicely streaked and has wonderful extended back line checkering. This may be the earliest B-grade engraved with game birds (first generation, second style). Barrel flats and forend iron stamped with "2". I wonder what ever happened to the other set of barrels.

MEASUREMENTS: Bore diameter: left -.723, right – .722. Bore restrictions: left – .017 (mod), right – .003 (IC). Wall thickness: left – .026, right – .028. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb 1-11/16″. Neutral cast. Weight: 6 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14″.

My 4th annual A.H.Fox display at the largest and finest gun show in Canada this past weekend. Decided to leave the Sterlingworths at home this year and focus on graded guns. It all came together pretty well. I was very surprised to win 1st place in the "Arms" category against the Winchester & Colt displays.

Well, it's Remington Update day.

Got some of the latest pictures in from Mr Dawe. There are a few coats of oil left to be applied but for all intents and purposes, the rehab of the action and the full restock are now completed. And, IMHO it's looking pretty damn good. The only thing left to complete the picture is properly redone black and white Damascus barrels (Oh my, it will be gaudy!). I had planned to leave those aside for the time being but I got a call from Mr Dawe a few weeks ago and he pointed out to me the error of my ways......barrels must be done now. He actually said "You haven't looked at them for a while.....they look like crap!"

So taking Chris' advice to move ahead now with a new finish on the barrels, I am testing out a new "barrel browner" and will report back on the expected success when I see the completed barrels. I am crossing my fingers and hoping the gun will be back in time to shoot at the Annual SxS meet June 1 but I am not counting on it. I hate rushing smiths. I like to try to keep them focused on perfection, not speed!
