Savage Model 24 .22/.410

Hello Fellas...

This is a Savage Model 24 .22/.410 that my grandfather had and that was passed down to me. Due to the barrel configuration I believe that it is an older model as newer models didn't have the upper and lower barrels soldered together.

I've been shooting this since I was three and had beaten it up bad enough that it was unshootable for the last 25 years. I took it into the guys at Corlane's, in Dawson Creek BC, and they re-blued it, finished the stock, replaced the missing ejector, replaced the missing elevator, and put sling swivels on it.

Unfortunately I won't be able to take better pictures for a month or so, so this cell phone picture will have to do for now...

I will post better pictures ASAP... until then, here's my FAVOURITE gun..

I was scrounging around my old files and found a vintage picture of me, my Brit pup, a dead grouse and that venerable Model 24... circa 1983. Good times.
