Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Straight grip, double triggers, splinter forearm, just the way it should be. Is the French gun marked with a name?
The gun maker is Bidault from the town of Bourges -- the barrels were struck in Germany -- they have both german and St Etienne (spelling) proof marks.
The gun seems to like me --at least shooing skeet.
Cheers

Not a classic double but another quality single. A 1972 Perazzi TM-1 imported by Ithaca. She has ugly wood and no engraving on her but I would be willing to bet She has had more than 900,000 rounds through her. That was before Her first rebuild.

A modest start, especially compared to some folks here, but I do enjoy them.

A CZ Ringneck 20GA SxS 28"

A Remington Europa O/U, made in Italy for Remington, 12Ga 26" with chokes circa late 90's (?)

I'll revive the post with a recent pick up.

Bayard 12 gauge " Boxlock Fine Grade ". Has Anson - Deeley lock up with demi-bloc barrels with cocking indicators. Barrels are 29.5" and choked at 17.4 over 18.2 and other is 18.0 over 18.2 which I've been told by the guy it came from was IC and Full but open to interpretation of those numbers. Screw on trigger plate was backed off a couple turns and waiting on meeting with guy with proper bits to fit slot to tighten another 1/8th of a turn.

Doing some checking and stand to be corrected but looks like made around 1913.

Has a few miles on it but tight and will see some informal sporting shooting.

Rem, I like your Bayard. I have three, including one very similar to yours....similar engraving level but a different pattern. I also have a very high grade version as well as a field grade. Very nice guns and undervalued in my opinion.

Not the best pic of my Beretta 687 SIlver Pigeon II. I snapped it up on the EE last year - attracted to it in particular because it has exceptional wood for only a grade II. Obviously, this gun was not the intended subject of this photo, but it does show the interesting grain. It's now custom fitted to me (steam bent to my measurements and and cast to left-hand etc... and LOP adjusted). It shoots where I look and swings like a dream - I love it.

Just picked this up from the post office. 22LR/20ga. I would have preferred a top of tang barrel release lever and 410, but this will do just fine. Barrels are joined the entire length. Everything seems pretty solid. It shows some obvious wear, but those are minor blemishes. It'll make for a nice little restoration project, but mostly a great small game gun. I can't wait to go try it out.

This thread seems to be turning in a different direction. Let's get back to the SXS's.

God how I miss my 16 bore.

Added a pair of Brownings this year!

Bought the top BSS in April and liked it so much, I found a second. BSS GrII .. both 1981 vintage, & worked out well this past October during goose season! 30" barrels, sst :)

Score 20 snows for the BSS grII and another 20 for my pal's Beretta O/U (Nice gun but the barrels are attached incorrectly) :slap:

First post guys and this thread just moved me...some awesome works of art and its making me want to mortgage the home. Just recently started getting into the double's and made my first purchase a couple years ago but hopefully not the last. Although not a SxS, the price was just right so had to buy this A.Zoli 12g fixed full and modified with 28" barrels.
