Lets Talk About The 22LR Situation....again :)

I went into Wholesale Sports in GP today and asked for a brick and was told that they are not allowed to sell bricks only 3 boxes per customer(shortage in the US) Bartons on the other hand had a 3 brick max of federal 2 weeks ago

Big country outdoors had some a while back..

Kinda spendy though ^^

I bought a brick for grouse hunting.

Yeah...at $42 per brick for Federal, limit of 3 bricks per customer. Screw that. They can keep it. There's a reason they don't see much of my money. I bought 5000 rounds online a day later for a total of $32 per brick after shipping.

Lots of over priced 22lr at the West Kelowna CT.I think the cheapest was $40 bricks of dynapoints. So far with some shopping around I have found cheaper ammo. I have enough stocks too keep from getting gouged. I started stocking up about 2 years ago after hearing about the shortage in the US.

SW Ontario , CT has about 15 buckets of the Rem Bucket of Bullets 1400 rds ( Golden ) $ 99.00 plus tax first time in a Very long time !!!

Cabela's list them at $ 89.99 but are Back Ordered ,, wonder what the new pricing will be ???

Absolutely zero .22 ammo at my local CT today. Not even 50 round boxes. That's the worst I've seen yet. Le Baron had cases of Win 222/333, but absolutely nothing of anything else (typical of Le Baron tho).

When i was at Le Baron, they just recieved 10K of Velocitor 2X5K bricks, i bought them all, the guys behind me never suspect they had any in stock... I am good for a while... Just saying. JP.

I can't really say there's a "shortage" We're just buying it all and making the stores seem empty. I've bought roughly 5000 rounds in the last 2 months from various stores. Both online and in store.

22 aside, this is the year I am starting to really hoard... you just never know when SWHTF... Rather not start looking for ammo after something happens.

nothing for months around home. was at sail in Ottawa last week and they had a sign up saying no .22lr ammo available. they must be sick of people asking.........
I have about 600 mini mags and don't want to go out shooting because once I'm out I won't be able to shoot my .22's any more....... sucks
bought a henry frontier in .22 mag, lots of .22 mag around and having a blast with it.

Mississauga and Markham had Winchester M-22 1000 round packs last week for around $70 tax in.

Markham is out, not sure about Mississauga.

They have orders in with Remington and CCI, but no idea when any will come in.

Their prices on ammo and guns have really jumped. Winchester 9mm, .40s&w and .45 100 round value packs have jumped twice in the last 2 weeks. The basic Ruger 10/22 jumped $60 and the SR-22 went up $141 this week.
