Which Im sure he just copied the PAR or Renegade. Why is he modding someone elses design. Not his own? Guess you haven't been on this site long. Nobody wants to be the next JR cox or EPPS.The thing is that they do have skin in the game. They're trying to bring their own straight pull bolt action AR style rifle to market, the Conspiracy straight pull. They just announced it last Thursday, the 28th. And that rifle is priced at the same price bracket as the MRA, and has a lot of the same features.
So not only do they have skin in the game, they stand to benefit if the Mounties ban the Renegade because of Lockhart's modifications.
I really like mine - a small fun rifle, even enjoy the manual action of it.Just got off the website from buying a MRA Renegade Rifle.
Not for converting tho… leaving it as is.
I got the 12” and I’m going to keep it lightweight. Something I can take on my tractor easy enough.I really like mine - a small fun rifle, even enjoy the manual action of it.
I have the 12" as well with an LPVO - probably going to get the 300 Black out barrel to be able to swap around.I got the 12” and I’m going to keep it lightweight. Something I can take on my tractor easy enough.
The other day I had big black bear come sniffing around. Beautiful animal and he ran away when I whistled at him a few times. I have no intention of harming him, but I’m not sure what his intentions are.
Because there is nothing in the law that prohibits converting a manual action rifle into a semi-auto one. Full auto is out of bounds, but semi is still legal (for now). How is this possibly legal?
That is how our law works. All is permitted that is not expressly prohibited.Likely because nothing specifically says it’s illegal…
Is there a definition for 'barely legal' as opposed to 'completely legal'? Legal is legal, period.im getting so tired of these grifter companies , working up barely legal frankenstein rifles, and charging people insane money for something they will likely lose to government.
We need far more officers like yourself. Why are people upset that Canadians are finding a way to adapt and overcome.
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!
Will it get banned? Oh yeah! But who cares.
Liberals hate freedom but sometimes it just can’t be stopped.
Since the receiver has a slot for the charging handle it should be a simple matter to add one to the AR bolt carrier to suit. How would you charge the bolt? Do side charging handles fit on standard ar15 bcg? If so what would you need
Since people here are freaking out about getting the MRA rifles banned for a semi-auto conversion, you guys need to realize the MRA rifles are likely already considered semi-auto under the definitions passed in C-21. From the current version of the Criminal Code:Would be a real shame if it drags down all the other renegades and mavericks to prohibited.
semi-automatic, in respect of a firearm, means that the firearm that is equipped with a mechanism that, following the discharge of a cartridge, automatically operates to complete any part of the reloading cycle necessary to prepare for the discharge of the next cartridge; (semi-automatique)
This is the only legitimate objection I have seen in this thread.Should not be screwing around with someone else product. My 2 cents.
He should put his own straight pull on the block then.I was neither for or against this conversion as I see it as no different than adding 3rd party performance parts to an engine to achieve your desires. However, insulting people after chaos erupts is probably not the best approach.
"To those absolute CLOWNS online suggesting we’re out to sabotage MRA or get rifles pulled from the market... Seriously? Get a handle on reality. Competition is what pushes innovation forward, benefits shooters, and strengthens the industry as a whole. We want to add legal capabilities, not subtract.
MRA’s straight-pull is welcome "competition" to our upcoming Conspiracy."
Seems normal for Samuel. Customer service has never been his strong suit.I was neither for or against this conversion as I see it as no different than adding 3rd party performance parts to an engine to achieve your desires. Maybe he can hire on the old owner of Marstar for media releases.Seems normal for Samuel. Customer service has never been his strong suit.
I dealt with customer service with Marstar, it wasn't bad. But let just say it didnt end up with my wife telling Samuel off.Maybe he can hire on the old owner of Marstar for media releases.![]()
Yes the definition of barely legal is loopholes. Look the government sucks but they have made it very clear they do not want Semi Auto tactical (buttstock, pistol grip, mlock, detachable magazine) firearms available to consumers.Because there is nothing in the law that prohibits converting a manual action rifle into a semi-auto one. Insane money is very subjective and you don't sound like you know what machine time costs these days.
Blame the government for stealing this gun, not the people who created it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the feds consider the bolt return spring a 'mechanism that automatically operates to complete any part of the reloading cycle'.

What loophole is this one in? The law is silent on semi-auto conversion. That isn't a loophole, it's just the law. I can take my motorcycle on a track and legally go far in excess of any posted speed limit because the law is silent on that. Is that also a loophole? Or is that just the law?Yes the definition of barely legal is loopholes.
Fair enough, but this is how capitalism works. Lockhart spends their own money to develop a product that they think consumers want. If they're right people buy and Lockhart makes money. If they're wrong, no one buys it and they lose money. Just don't buy it if you're not interested.stop the cope

So it started with bringing back old 180 designes as if they were just AR 15s, then i was just creating frankenstein ARs like crusader, then crusader made a cheap plastic mold to put on some turkish hunting rifle and now this.
All im saying is how far down the hole of potential legal issues and wasted money are you willing to go to get something that makes you feel like a special ops person. stop the cope
if you really like sport shooting then learn a different platform, and if you are prepper consider the cringe of actually thinking having a tactical 2000$ rifle is actually going to make your life anymore safe or enjoyable.
How about save up a buy a house or start a family
