May want to get your facts straight bud.
CanAm did the legwork for getting the rifle classified, M&M played dumb telling Wanstalls "we talked to some disco guy (CanAm), but never heard back so assume they lost interest".
Wanstalls then had a deal/price in place directly with MFM&M. A week or so later MFM&M reneged on said deal, made Wanstalls grovel in order to honor the pre-orders that were sold, and eventually reneged on that deal as well when they set up with NS, whom MFM&M is also currently looking at reneging on by the sounds of it....see a trend here?
And sure NS would sell Wanstalls rifles, the same price they sell them to SFRC/TENDA ect which is no doubt more then $1450. Yes you are butthurt, same with that other Quebec guy that bought mags and a scope. The rest of the pre-order people seem to be OK with the options given, and given the circumstances, understand that Wanstalls got ####ed over by MFM&M, and do not expect a business to lose money for them because they are not greedy little #####es.
If the rifle is so fantastic, and MFM&M is such a great guy, you should be happy to support him and spend the $2300 retail or whatever it works out to now.
You seem to believe everything MFM&M has said to date, so really you can't hold Wanstalls to blame for incorrect pricing can you? They corrected it ASAP, and the rifles are not even built OR in country so not like anyone is out anything...(with the exception of the silly folks with uncontrollable spending habits that bought a few mags they might eat $20 on...which in itself is a valuable lesson well worth $20 if you ask me).
MFM&M says it's $2k MSRP/MAP here in Canada, for now anyway. You better believe him until he changes his mind again. Looks like the NR tax isn't enough for him...he wants to tack on a punitive tax as well for having to deal with us crabby Canucks lol.
