M+M CEO Considered Pulling M10X Rifle From Canada After Brouhaha - CDN Gun Blog

Nicolas said he was not paid for this or anything he does on the gun blog, but I could make a donation if I wanted. Additionally he said he's followed my comments this evening and asked what surprised me about the post.

An interesting question, and a good question.

This was my response:

You brought up the drama less any details, and completely ignored the BS Mike spewed on Facebook, and Social Marketing or even his CGN account before it was toasted. Your article explicitly makes the community look poor, and M+M and NS as having a high ground, when its the furthest thing from the truth as far as I can tell.

And MFM&M told Wanstalls that CanAm dropped off the map and was no longer interested, M&M then would not reply to any CanAm inquiries...
Again, everything points back to M&M pulling out of deals.
He sure has the wool pulled over on some of you guys though...man.

Im not claiming M+M is squeaky clean... DMR safety as an example... and I do believe they did Can Am dirty which is unfortunate.

Those things are on M+M.

The pricing and presale debacle though? Aren't.

These are facts. M+M was supposed to be distributed through CanAm. That did not happen. Wanstalls was supposed to sell some at a price that surely had been agreed on at some point, or at least thrown out in discussions. That did not happen. North Sylva, probably the worst distributor in Canada, has the gun exclusively, and at a price much higher than had been posted by Wanstalls. The makers of the gun have also increased their price on their website, despite a strong US dollar, which coincides with the price increase in Canada. It's not exactly jumping to conclusions that these things are interrelated.

These are facts, do with them as you will. I for one, am disappointed. I wanted the gun, but if it's $2K I can neither afford it nor want it. Such a shame, because this thing had the ability to kill the XCR L like the BCL 102 killed the XCR M. While it does have features that are better than a Vz, namely it's optics ready nature, the Vz has a better barrel, receiver, and a bolt hold open and costs less.

The ball's in your court M+M, you can win back the market but just going with NS has done serious damage to your name. But thanks for providing a platform the Chinese can copy and sell for cheap :)

Everyone gets a hard on for anything AK. If you can build a rifle with a wider ejection port, like the M+M, the reliability of an AK, the accuracy of the AR and the trigger pull of the XCR, what’s not to like?

Yessum - don't understand the hard on for anything AK excepting reliability either. Rest of your post flows dude!

Didn't ask his name, possibly?

And there you have it folks... brian46 of cgn says it was possible one of the owners of wanstalls told him something. This is in fact better than just the internet. This folks is gospel.

Seriously, give it up. Vote with your wallets.

I won't be buying one. Mostly because I think cz/vz 858/58s are mo betta.

This sums it up nicely

so if it was an employee instead of owner I spoke to who takes orders, they do not speak for Wanstalls when spoken to?

Once again you don't get it... you're just some dude, possibly a woman... actually probably a woman... on the internet. Some conversation you claim to have had means nothing to me. It shouldn't mean anything to anyone else either. Salesmen don't always tell the truth and the crap I've heard at a gun counter over the years is insurmountable.

Give it up it's the gun business in Canada just the way it is... a few cgn sjw ain't gonna fix it.

Well it looks like we're officially down to the same last few people who won't give up because they are either butt hurt, self entitled, or have the self need to compensate. You guys are all making stars out of yourselves anyways. Congrats on looking like fools. This is beyond ridiculous.
:bangHead: d:h:

To think about it M+M actually said that they were in discussion with a Dealer who wanted the price between 2000-2500$, and they said it's them (M+M) who insisted at a price under 2000$ Laugh2Laugh2Laugh2

They can stick it up their ass

Have you ever spoken to some of the guys who sell guns at Cabellas ? Shouldn't they know what they are talking about ? There's no difference.

Has IRG said anything about bringing these things in at near the US street price?
Or is the 18.5" barrel a North Sylva exclusive that IRG could not get?

If you happen to purchase one in the US we will make it happen. Please see the tutorial on www.irunguns.rocks as it will walk you through the process. We have already expedited the export permits through the US State Dept. based on product expectations so there are no delays should anyone source them off Gunbroker or any other retailer.

Have great afternoon.
