M14s in 7.62x39 coming to Canada?

Besides the Globco M555, an SVT40 converted (poorly) to .303, there has never been a semi-auto rifle in .303.

Also, if it used No. 1 Mk III magazines, the option of a twenty round magazine would be there if someone made new production trench magazines.

I like my m305s and m1 carbines, why not make a semi auto thompson (like) rifle. It only has to be not interchangeable with the original one right? Could be in 9mm and or 45. Problem is Canada is just to small of a market to design a gun from the ground up. But it would be cool.

I would be interested in an 18.6" M305 in 7.62x39 depending on what it looked like and what mags it took.

Ideally I'd prefer AK mags and a wood stock. It would go nicely with a low power variable optic.
 
I'd be interested in getting one of these. Anyone have any details on this? Pricing? Wanting to get a 7.62 x 39 semi-auto other than an sks
 
Same wieght, same economics , same everything. Only downside is no BHO. But the cost of ammo makes up for it. Looks like all USGI and aftermarket bits will fit ezcepr for the obvious caliber related parts. Looking like the stock is the saem wxcept for the mag well. Hoping that a sage ebr works.
 
Seen this in an email from Tenda today and they sure have me tempted! Power wagon, how's the overall fit finish and quality seem? Pass the tilt test? Op rod guide tight?
 
Hmmmm.

Hard question: Do I sell my SKS-D, a Chinese receiver-in-stock rifle... for another Chinese receiver-in-stock 7.62x39? Which may be harder to clean and heavier?
 
Looks like the stock liner/mag well maybe the factor to swapping in other chassis unless you can move the stock liner you may be stuck to that stock design
