M4 clones

Let me put it this way.... Have you ever heard of a genuine Benelli Bolt breaking off like that Turknelli owner's did? Even during USMC Destructive Testing?? I didn't think so...

This barely used Benelli "Entry Model" cost me $1700 on the EE (before optics, laser and forend):

Stop posting that pic, :) JK, Make me so hony!

True, but even a used M4 with 500 rounds is better than those ones in the $1000 and under category. I was on that road of what shotgun should I buy, started looking at the $1000 dollar and below category was interested in a few but after many weeks of reviews and studying I just couldn't bring myself to purchasing one. Loose tolerances, poor fit and finish, lack luster warranties, parts availability, and service questions just didn't want a headache/lemon for my first SG experience. My want was the Benelli but just couldn't bring myself to spending that much on my 1st SG, so I purchased the Beretta 1301 Tactical and have been extremely happy with it.

I wish I could put $1900 into a shotgun, but my wife would kill me. I found a Turknelli for $577 with Boxing Day sale with free shipping. How could I say no?!?

That's an excellent deal, and as you say hard to pass up. I would agree, I am starting to take a liking to the M4 clone especially now that they are bringing them in with a variety of different colors. Who knows prehaps in the new year I will have one as well.

Glad to hear that the Turkish copies are getting more reviews. I think that it's difficult to actually compare the real one to its copy.
Makes for a more choices.

The trick is that you don't compare them. You take the clone for what it is. At least now you have a choice.

Just had the Tac-12 to the range again with some Score target slugs and Champion magnum 00 buck.

Man is this gun fun! Only started giving me issues after around the 200 round mark without a cleaning, this ammo was dirty!. Fail to feeds- but definitely looks like a quick clean will have it up and running again!

What is the mag capacity of these Turkish M4 clones? I've seen some info saying the P4 Komando is pinned at 4 3" and others saying five. Do any come pinned to 5.9 3"? Do they ghost load reliably?

Is there any chance a Canadian importer will order in a similar gun but chambered in 3.5"?

Is there really anything to choose between them or should you just look for the best price?

Trying to decide between one of these and a Derya MK 12 from the EE

Took My turknelli out today first outing . Ran cheap target 2 3/4 loads not one hiccup . Man is it fun to shoot . Ghost loading Is new to me but super easy . Front sight is not on strait but for 600 bucks who cares it’s a scattergun . Back before kids I would have got the real deal . This thing is just way to much fun . Get it filthy scratch it up whatever it was 600 bucks . I had my doubts about it. But after blasting away I’m sold . Time will tell how the bolt holds up . For the price you can’t go wrong .

You ever ride a moped ? Yah a cr250 is way nicer but the moped still leaves you with a smile

Different manufacturers, probably a different level of quality too. A lot of Turkish shotguns are a race to the bottom in price. Having handled both, the Canuck was nicer overall.

Funny you say that. Most people are saying on this forum that it's the same gun, from the same factory, and just the name is different.

So are the turknelli, Sulun, Canuck and Komando P4 the same or not?

Haven’t compared any of them in person . I have the sulun arms version . Had it out again yesterday ran flawlessly. -12 outside gun was in the box of my truck overnight-18 a mix of cheap skeet loads . I had Winchester AA buddy had score Challanger . Couldn’t tell the difference. I have never ran anything besides cheap skeet . No break in with nice ammo just cheap skeet . I have yet to have a single malfunction. I’m super impressed .

Since this topic popped up in recent posts,
I was wondering if anyone could please post the manual or pics of the manual for Canuck Operator?
Please please please!!!

Thanks in advance! Someone

The biggest problem with a Benelli M4's has nothing to do with their reliability or initial costs. It's the @#$ upgrades everyone does to theirs after they fall in love with it. That 2k shotgun just turned into a 3k gun in a heartbeat! LOL! Me? I had to get rid of that fixed pistol butt stock for a conventional stock. Mag tube extension (with cerakote finish as it's an H2O model) & spring and oversize bolt handle. Put a blue force sling on it & you've gone full retard! Absolutely love the shotgun, but I don't think I'll buy another anytime soon.... Quality not quantity! LOL!
