Sharing a few favorites
In bottom photo the order is:
1. A 1903 Model "British Sporting Pattern" 6.5 x54 M-S takedown rifle made in 1929.(British and Austrian proofmarks)
2. A fullstock 1908 Model 7x57 made in 1920 barrelled during the Austrian Anschluss, (Nazi period proofmarks on barrel, Austrian proof marks) Lyman peep sight on rear of bolt.
3. A fullstock 1903 Carbine 6.5 x 54 M-S made in 1919. German Hubertus 2.5X scope in QD Echo scope mount. (Austrian and German proofmarks)
And....4. (at the back in first photo)A 1908 Model "British Sporting Pattern" 8 x56 M-S takedown rifle made in ? (undated, British proofs only)
I have a few more M-S that I'll photograph and post soon...I like pre-1937.
My great grandfather and grand-uncle were both riflemakers at Steyr, Austria.
