MAPLE RIDGE ARMOURY - FAQ

Just to be clear, any 9mm or other pistol caliber version of the Renegade will be manual action, NOT semi-auto. Until there is a change in the anti-gun regime, semi-autos are doomed.
Developing a rotating-bolt locking system for a 9mm is complicated, as just about every other 9mm AR platform is using straight blow-back operation.
9mm manual wouldnt be too complex.

Open up a 223 bolt for 9mm case. A 9mm barrel and run a 9mm adapter minus ejector.

FAQ: The dowel pins that align the charging handle on my MRA rifle are stuck in the side of the bolt, how do I remove them?
  • The first step is to apply heat, for example with a hair-dryer to loosen them. Then we suggest using a diagonal cutter to grab the pins rather than needle-nose pliers, and using a prying action against the receiver. HOWEVER to protect the rifle use a couple layers of electrical tape to separate the rifle from the tool you use to pry out the pins.

Just one more time for the record: The grease we use to lubricate the bolt of the rifle is for ease of operation. If the first thing you do with the rifle is take it all apart and wipe it all off fine. But if you try and shoot it like this, bone dry, you are not doing yourself any favours...

By all means, do your due diligence and swab the bore to ensure it is free of oil and obstructions before firing (you don't even have to disassemble the rifle to do this) and then have fun shooting with a properly lubricated rifle.
