MAPLE RIDGE ARMOURY - FAQ

Just to be clear, any 9mm or other pistol caliber version of the Renegade will be manual action, NOT semi-auto. Until there is a change in the anti-gun regime, semi-autos are doomed.
Developing a rotating-bolt locking system for a 9mm is complicated, as just about every other 9mm AR platform is using straight blow-back operation.
9mm manual wouldnt be too complex.

Open up a 223 bolt for 9mm case. A 9mm barrel and run a 9mm adapter minus ejector.

FAQ: The dowel pins that align the charging handle on my MRA rifle are stuck in the side of the bolt, how do I remove them?
  • The first step is to apply heat, for example with a hair-dryer to loosen them. Then we suggest using a diagonal cutter to grab the pins rather than needle-nose pliers, and using a prying action against the receiver. HOWEVER to protect the rifle use a couple layers of electrical tape to separate the rifle from the tool you use to pry out the pins.

Just one more time for the record: The grease we use to lubricate the bolt of the rifle is for ease of operation. If the first thing you do with the rifle is take it all apart and wipe it all off fine. But if you try and shoot it like this, bone dry, you are not doing yourself any favours...

By all means, do your due diligence and swab the bore to ensure it is free of oil and obstructions before firing (you don't even have to disassemble the rifle to do this) and then have fun shooting with a properly lubricated rifle.

Do you have a date to restock 19” in Canadian Market?. I want to order one. My eyes are seeing too many options and I don’t want to waste money on anything else…

We hear you and lots of others. It is something that is being considered. Thanks for your vote of confidence in our product.
Great to hear that community freedback is being taken VictoryRidgeCS ! While this is probably quite an ask, making a straight-pull 9mm Luger rifle design that can take Glock magazines would be a huge seller! I wonder if the name "Intrepid" for such a rifle would fit? It fits the pattern of "Renegade" and "Maverick" for MRA's current rifles.

My father may be looking at a Renegade reciever set. Any way of blocking gas port on a AR barrel to use it on the kit?
Yup, I did that. Just put on a gas delete block, or I believe rotating your gas block 1/2 turn would do the same thing by blocking the port.

Pump action. I've followed this rifle since you started posting about it and until this thread you've ignored every post I've seen asking for a pump version.
I'll buy it when there's a pump version.

There are multiple ways to block the gas port in the barrel. Some people take their existing low profile gas block and simply turn it backwards. It clamps back in place but the holes no longer line up.
Others with the triangular front sight/gas block plug the hole for the gas tube by inserting either a piece of gas tube or something similar to block the hole, and then pin this in place same as the gas tube.
Lastly there are "gas port blocks" just a steel ring with a set screw that sit over the gas port on the barrel. Dimensions vary from barrel to barrel, but most are 0.750" and unfortunately that is the one size we are currently sold out of.

They've already acknowledged requests for a pump.

Okay thanks.

Yes I acknowledged that in my post.
I’m sorry though, I probably haven’t read every thread about this gun so maybe they acknowledged it somewhere else, I just haven’t seen it so to me, it seemed like there’s been a lack of acknowledgment.
😂😂😂

Ditto. I’m not sure why they won’t make a pump action rifle. I would love to support this company and it seems honest and a no nonsense.
It could be that they already are tapped out with their current lines of products. Ever notice how thin inventory is and when they get some it wipes out quickly. When your company is unable to keep up with demand, there is less incentive to introduce more products. There is only one other option and that is to invest in expansion however in the anti gun liberal climate we live in where at any moment a ban hammer can drop, who could blame a company in shying away from that.

I own and love my Renegade and wish there was a pump too. I simply understand why this might not be a good fit for MRA.

Cheers
Moe

It could also be competition concerns. There's simply nothing quite as similar as the Renegade or Maverick in the market at the moment. But if they develope a pump, they'd have to compete with the Taipan X, PAR, and technically the Crusader PND as well. At which point, there's a question on whether they could sell enough to make up for the investment in development and production.
