They definitely look way better with wood stocks
Did the Boyd's stock just bolt up or did you have to do some sanding and hand fitting?
I bought a national match gi stock for my m 305 a while back from tree line and had to do lots of sanding and fitting to get it to work
My stock also didn't use the metal inserts from the plastic stock which I thought was strange

The metal parts from norinco and dominion flip over to boyds stock perfectly , had to do a we bit of sanding to get the receiver to fit, took all of 10 minutes to get them both done, super easy and at the range , everyone asks about these two beauties, they are so nice and shoot very well.

so happy with this new norinco from marstar , didn't think that these models were ever coming in to Canada again, so happy that they are in stock again

if you are thinking on one............buy it..............

Yep. Very disgraceful business practice. On top of he garand fiasco anybody remember the m305 crooked sight thing? They advertised that theirs were superior and guaranteed to have properly indexed barrels. When everyone got theirs they were all canted! Marstar, No thanks!

That was more of a sh!t Norinco problem, I bought one from another CGN sponsor same issue, and they where less then helpful with the repair also. Not the only culprit, dealing with that firearms supply company.

Oops! I forgot about the gas system needing to be dry... So I disassembled the rifle again, took off the gas plug nut & pushed out the gas piston out, it was caked in lots of oil.

It took repeated patches, but I finally got the system dry, hit it with some Hoppes #9 and dried it & the piston thoroughly. Now the piston falls under it's own weight & I reassembled.

Looking forward to a range trip! :ar15:

Cheers
Jay

Here is a picture of the ugly spot welds on the bottom of the mags which prevent maintenance...

How are u supposed to clean the sand out of a mag dropped on the ground with this?

My current range EOSC is very sandy! Note the awful paint to cover up the welding scars.

Still a happy, just noting the minor issues.

Cheers
Jay
