Mentoring

Any takers on joining up for a waterfowl hunt in the Calgary area. I would be a a so called newbie in the waterfowl scene, I have all I need less the decoys. If anyone is interested please let me know. Cheers

Hi everyone, i just got my hunting license and was wondering if anyone is willing to show me the ropes in hunting as I really don't have friends/family that hunt?

I have my gun license and go to the range all the time.

Hi Shotgun, I see your in Ottawa area and was wondering if you ever got to go deer hunting? I'm completely new to the whole hunting thing but was wondering if you can mentor me in deer hunting and show me the ropes?

I know this I a bit of a short notice but a spot may have opened up and I may be able to take someone on a field goose hunt this coming Friday and Saturday (October 30,31st)

it would be a morning hunt north of the GTA.
Must have the obvious such as hunting license, small games permit, migratory bird stamp.
Must have your own transportation.
If interested please send me a PM with your contact and we can go from there.
Thank you

DRAT! Just missed it!

I haven't hunted since I was a teen. I'm getting back into the sport. I own all my own equipment and live east of Toronto. I'm looking for a new group of friends to hunt with. I'm willing to travel as far east as Colborne (big apple). I'm especially interested in rabbit, pigeon and coyote. I'm going on my first dear hunt in a couple weeks. I'm willing try just about anything.

Anyway, if you are an experienced hunter, please send me a message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Family man looking for hunting partner around Ladysmith on Vancouver Island. Not 420 friendly. Used to doing heavy work for older hunters. Can pay some gas. <><

I Live in BC (lower mainland) and just got my hunting number. I didn't grow up with a dad who hunted so that tradition is gonna have to start with me. I will be looking for a mentor(s) this year to go out with and learn the hunting ropes, where to go, etc. I'm fit, strong, and easy going. If you wouldn't mind passing on some of your wisdom and experience, I would be very grateful. I'm hoping this is a passion that I can pass on to my boys, but I have to figure out what I'm doing first :)

Hi all,

Recently finished hunting course and no one in my family hunts :(

Anyone interested in taking an eager learner out? If anything I could carry equipment.

Interested in any game, literally anything, I want to learn as much as I can.

Thanks

Hey guys, newbie here looking for a mentor or someone that can show me the ropes first hand.

Im in Calgary Alberta but can travel within a few hours no problem.

Also not really sure which draws to be going in on albertaRELM, would be great if you could help with that too

Would really appreciate the opportunity

Thanks

I'm 27, and live in Edmonton. I have hunted elk with family but they live five hours to the north so I don't get out nearly as much as I'd like and really want to get more experience hunting. I rifle hunt and just picked up a bow this year to expand my season. I'm after any game you can name and I want this fall to be a busy one. So if anyone needs a hand filling a tag I'm in.

I also miss shooting gophers so if anyone has a patch of land with rodent related holes I'd be happy to bring my grandpa's old cooey out for an afternoon to rid the world of that scourge. I also would like to go after some song dogs so if someone has a problem with coyotes I can help. I want to make some contacts in the Edmonton area and earn permission to hunt locally and see if I can't help some people out with pests along the way.

Hello Everyone,

33 year old male in Toronto looking to start hunting. I haven't gone out and would like to join anyone on pretty much anything. Halpy to travel within 4 hours of Toronto - I spend a lot of time in Parry Sound area.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

I will sticky this. I would add that there are a number of mentor programs already in Alberta. I am a hunting mentor currently with the hunting for tomorrow program here in Alberta. We run a number of new hunting mentor hunts covering all aspects and types of hunting. It is intended to offer new hunters the chance to learn the ropes. AHEIA also offers a number of clinics...but they vary from year to year. I spend alot of time mentoring youth bowhunters but there are lots of rifle opportunities. Alberta is hugely pro hunter in terms of governement relations with hunters and stake holders. One of the reasons I will not be leaving the province anytime soon!

Cheers

Jeff

Also mentor for AHEIA Hunters for Tomorrow program and find it excellent

Hi everyone

I'm a 24 year old newbie hunter from Pickering, and I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes. I've applied for an antler less deer tag so a mentor for deer hunting would be awesome. I'm willing to travel pretty much anywhere.

Thanks in advance!
