Mentoring

Hi all. I've recently picked up my PAL, RPAL, and my hunting license. I live in Abbotsford BC. Getting my first .22lr gun today. I'm interesting in any kind of hunting mentoring possible. If it moves and is legal, I'd like to try hunting it.
 
Posted in this thread some 3 years ago and got some very welcome response, did go out with a CGNer once. It was fun, we didn't shoot anything, but it was a fun hike. Looking again, since now I live in Surrey, BC. Geese? Deer?

i am looking for somewhere, within an hour or two of Ajax, to hunt some ducks, maybe geese, any small game birds or rabbit.

any tips, any ponds, woodlots or fields available? Or happy to tag along with a fellow hunter, farmer, landowner, etc who has the permission to be there for a hunt.

i am a responsible hunter, fully licensed for small game and waterfowl, RPAL etc, never hunted duck in Ontario before though.
i have 12 and 20 ga, 22LR, whatever the game requires.
I'd like to bring my 13 yr old son along for the hunt. he loves the sport and adventure, will certainly become a licensed hunter soon too.

happy to kick in on a flat of ammo, or i can drive and cover the gas to get there and back if you want to ride together.
i can only get out Saturdays or Sundays, depends on the weekend and my schedule that week.

please PM if you wouldn't mind helping a guy out.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some mentoring for the fall turkey season. I'm a rookie hunter, this is my first year out and I'm new to my area and don't know anyone who I can join up with. I'm in the Aylmer, St.Thomas, Springfield area and I would really appreciate some mentoring. I have permission on two pieces of property - but I'm not sure if there are turkeys there or not. I have all my licenses and equipment I just need some mentoring. Please PM me if you wouldn't mind helping out. Please and thanks!

P.S. - I would be interested in any hunting really. Ducks, coyote, whatever. I have a Remington 700 12ga, a 22LR, a savage 243 win, and a Traditions muzzle loader (which I haven't even shot yet).
 
If anyone is looking for someone to carry decoys, I would love to tag along.
I have lots of experience shooting clay targets, but now my wife wants me to bring home something I can eat.
Prefer South of Red Deer and East of Calgary, but have truck will travel. Upland or Waterfowl would be great.

Hi, I'm from the Ottawa/Orleans area and I just received my hunting license. I have a 12gauge and a .22lr so I'm willing to try hunting anything I can.

BC hunters looking for a hunting mentor,
I have some time between Oct 8 and 15 to introduce a new or novice hunter to deer hunting. 100 mile house area , regions 5-1 and 5-2. I have access to over 2000 acres of private land and surrounded by excellent crown land oportunities.
My only rules are, you must have personal liability, BCWF or similar and no boozin hehehe oh, and enough ammo to re-sight your rifle before we hunt.
A quad or dirt bike would be good too for access to spots I hunt.
Game to be prepared for, upland birds, rabbits, mule and whitetail deer, black bear, lynx and a camera for moose as it's LEH only.
My wife and I filled our region 5 tags friday night (hers) and yesterday I got mine. Lots of deer about and while I would never garauntee success, chances are very good ;)
If this sounds like a plan, and you are a novice hunter, shoot me a p.m. The bucks are waiting :D

I come from a family of huters (both grandfathers).
Anyone willing to become my mentor?

Live Niagara Region and have valid PAL/HEC/small game (and hopefully this week-turkey)
Can't really say I know anyone that is willing to take me hunting, reason being is I dont really know anyone that hunts. Those that I do know don't hunt often and I would hate to intrude on what little time they have to hunt.
As far as what to hunt? I really would be open to any experience I can get. I have a 12ga, a .22 and a bow that I could hunt with. As I said I've no experience hunting so I'm eager to try it out.
Would love to get to know more ppl in the area and of course get some experience. Feel free to PM me and we can take it from there!

Alberta boy, new to hunting. Took my first deer with a friend on Sat but would really like to acquire more experienced hunting friends to learn more from next season. Live in Central AB but would pretty much travel anywhere in AB to hunt on a weekend.

Should have added that I own both rifles and shotgun. Would love to hunt birds or big game, I just want to learn to do things properly.

Hey guys just moved to Edmonton looking for someone to show me the ropes. I have some hunting experience but not much. Would really like to try my hand at coyote hunting :). Would be more then happy to pay for Gas/tims/beer afterwards.
