Modifying An SKS

So were you asking a legit question, or tying to see how many people would tell you to mod a collectible - your comment was trollish.

Hey now... Cannon talked me out of it. It was a good day.

Interesting to see how Many folks would mess with a North Korean regardless.

Troll this, troll that. A guy asks a legitimate question and receives 4 pages of replies. Then comes the name calling.

I give up... Lock her down

Wait... Whos trolling who here?

I also posted early in the thread.

Alright alright..... Ya got me! Just making sure you guys aint sleeping

Two pages later 'mr.critical thinking' (thats you) comes in having obviously not read the thread, and tells me all the bubbafications you would do to a collectable. You either A: have no clue what your looking at and just see a gun to be hacked up, or B: you know what it is and just see it as a gun to be hacked up.

After painfully browsing your 'I love me' page in your signature line, your comments about modifying a NK, and creeping me out with your glaring avatar, I have elected to list you under the category of (incapable of critical thinking)

Are you done yet? Stop baiting me.

It’s funny, I didn’t see it as trolling at all. I saw it as the guy was sharing a pic of a rare sks and having some fun seeing who would recognize it.

I think, the laminate strips should be thinner and more of them.

I could check of course when I return home, but I think they are the same layer count as a Russian. You are likely thinking of the seldomly seen Chinese laminate stock which does in fact have nearly twice the layers.

No rear crossbolt, side swivel, location of reinforcement pins, and N Korean cartouches says its N Korean.

This thread was entertaining. Interesting how many people didn't even look at the pics, or even notice what was different or special about it.

On that note I regret not scooping up that Albanian SKS that was on the EE a few years ago.

If not for seeing the dust cover no one here would've even batted an eye.

There's maybe ONE pic that may be difficult in determining what it is. The right side because of the swivel.

Anyways... I have a bunch more pics if anyone is interested, I'll try and get them up.

OP, you have to realize, that Canucks don't collect SKS. They only modifie them and shoot them. If you go on WestRifle site, they have right now 12 of 1949 SKS with proper cross bayonet, selling between $400-$600 Cd. In the USA they would sell $1000 to over $2000 Usd and would be all gone. So, NK SKS in Canada means nothing. Mod it.
