MRA renegade and Spectre ballistics builds

Well I found some bits and decided to make a renegade in 22 Nosler, had it together as black and found I didn't like it as the top and bottom receiver did not match for colour so I have had some Arma-coat sitting in my shop cupboard for the better part of 2 years I think and decided to go ODG I found the arma-coat green different then the Magpul so had to take the PRS apart as well and do it of course, this 22 Nosler seems like its going to be a neat cartridge to dial in and have some fun with

That looks great!

MRA pulled their submission for an FRT, and the LPC's is pending. I'm guessing because MRA knows once an FRT is issued it will be banned, so they're delaying the inevitable. I know they're both basically single shot bolt action rifles, but guns seem to be classified in the court of public opinion, and not a set of characteristics anymore. For that reason, the RCMP will more than likely deem them to be variants, not because they are actual variants, but because they can get away with it. And if we cry and complain, our population with cro magnon level intelligence will just see a "scary black gun" and cheer the reclassification to prohib.

Have fun with them while you can I guess.

FRT entries are created without any requirement for a manufacturer to submit a request. Just think of the thousands and thousands of firearms listed in the FRT for which there is no current manufacturer.

Where might one find an affordable 16” 6.5 Grendel barrel? Specifically in a lighter profile to keep the weight down. Is it a custom order with IBI, or am I stuck looking at 20” variants?

Just order from IBI. Everything I've ordered from them has had a respectable turnaround time of between 2 and 4 weeks. And I have been happy with the products I've received.

Just my .02

I agree. I have two IBI barrels, excellent barrels and super good company to deal with.
Here is my IBI barrel on my Renegade. No issues installing and very accurate.

The Firearms Reference Table is a catalogue of firearms. There is no legal requirement for a firearm to be FaRTed.
Are you thinking that the FRT entry for a LPC or MRA could be used as proof of non-restricted status?
Do you know that there aren't FRT entries for these rifles?

IBI made me a 12.5" barrel although it's not a skinny profile. Also made it with no gas port so no need to plug it, which is a bonus

Hifiwasabi, you won’t be disappointed with an IBI barrel on your Renegade. As Gatehouse points out, no gas port on a new barrel would be best, but I recycled my barrel off my AR. I’m hoping to throw that barrel back on my AR in the near future and buy a new one sans port.

Yes. I saw the manufacturer (MRA/Ryan Joyner) in their Facebook group say there was no FRT, and no need for one since it was developed in Canada.

It's keeping me from picking one up myself.

So while I don't feel like adding another caliber into my house as I have enough already, I'm looking at the MRA with great interest, mainly due to the modularity and 26"+ length to preserve non-res status and therefore its versatility. So my question is, what kind of accuracy can you get out of this thing ?

That would mean that there is no published FRT number for the rifle. Remember that there are different versions of the Firearms Reference Table.

Over the years, FRT numbers have appeared, disappeared and reappeared.
