My factory hunting rifle shoots between .5"-.75" all day! Really? Prove it!
Ok. Let's see if I can get lightning to strike twice.
This is a similar challenge to the one I started in the precision rifle section. Here are the rules:
The rifle must be a factory hunting rifle with no major modifications.
The rifle must still have the factory barrel and stock.
No heavy barrels. All barrels must be "sporter" contour
**ALL GROUPS MUST BE UNDER .750"@ 100 yards/meters**
You must shoot 5 consecutive 3 shot groups on the same paper. There can't be any other groups on the "official" target.
There must not be anything on the target that could be hiding a failed attempt.
Your successful post must include the following:
A pic of the rifle and the rest that was used to shoot your targets
A pic of the target showing all successful groups with the group size beside the group
A pic of your smallest group with a set of calipers showing the group size.
-When measuring your groups be sure to measure the groups properly. This is a good example of how to measure your group. Measure the extreme outside spread of your group and then subtract the bullet diameter
Your post must include all 5 group sizes (as well as written on the target. Sometimes the writing is to small to read)
Have fun and be safe.
