Well I wasn't going to post anything as I didn't want to jinx myself as I was # 108 on the tag list here locally for polar bear hunting and NEVER thought I'd get picked and get a chance this year as we only have 8 tags, however since today I got word and the local HTO guys came to see me and let me know I have 48 hrs this Saturday & Sunday to go find one I am now posting this ... please CROSS YOUR FINGERS so I may find a big'un and catch him.

Got a plan my friend, going to bait, sled and spot, look for tracks, do you use dogs? It took me 12 days to take mine, but I'm one unlucky SOB anyway. How far are you from the ice edge and open water where all the seals live, there was none the spring I hunted, had been a crazy cold winter and there was no open water anywhere. Made it a lot tougher. Regardless best of luck and a prayer for straight shoosssting, for ya. Hope you find a 12 footer!
