The only way to improve a 358 would be to rechamber to 35 Whelen or 358 Norma Mag,
.
Or rebarrel to 338Fed

F-ing McSwirleys. Drives me bonkers. Otherwise a nice rifle. When's it going on the EE?
nope and I spoke with the Federal rep this week and he didn't have a real answer. But with factory ammo available, we can always make brass that waysame cant be said for the 358......another point for the IMPROVED 358!
your moustache drives me bonkers
A true beltless MAGNUM with a virtually inexhaustable supply of brass (.30-06) But have fun with your little .338/08 anyway (beauty stock by the way) you wont be able to resize 358 Win brass from 308 "for less" than 308 to 338f
RIGHT! ....I just don't see the quantum leap by going .338. It fills such a skinny void between the .308 and .358 there's really not much point, much like the 7mm-08 (though it can be argued it has use in countries that prohibit the use of military cartridges) being such a small step with better options both sides like the .308 and .260.
Still can't improve on the .338-06 there puppy, the grandfather and MONARCH of the .338 clanA true beltless MAGNUM with a virtually inexhaustable supply of brass (.30-06) But have fun with your little .338/08 anyway (beauty stock by the way)
Oh and not to worry TB, when you grow up and your nuts drop, you'll be able to grow your own ####-stache just like BUM's![]()

actually the 338f is an improvement because it fits in a short action rifle and burns about 25% less powder.
You after "efficiency" or results?
Whatever gets you through the day my friend...![]()
