New Items: M4 Quad Forend; NS522 Match Sporting Rifle

NS 522 Range Report; Received my rifle today 3 days earlier then expected. Gotta love that ! Cleaned allthe oil from stock bore and exterior. Great job of machining and finish on these rifles. Trigger breaks clean at 3lbs . Mounted a 8-32 target scope on the 3/8 dovetail and headed to the range. Shot an assortment of SV ammo. Federal 711B ,Fiocchi Sv ,PMC Match rifle ,CCI Sv. All groups were 10 plus shots at 50 yds and all groups could be covered with a quarter. The high light was Eley Match Rifle and all shots could be covered with a nickel. The gun really shoots. The 2 mags gave me grief but I hope to repair them. This rifle is great value for the money. Imagine how well it could shoot with a free floated barrel and a lighter trigger.

OK, did not need to hear this, I am trying to come up with reasons not to buy it!

It's a 250$ 22 Match Target Rifle. Just buy it you cheap skate. ;)
I am cheap but this time I am trying to figure out if this deal with the machining required to install micrometer peeps and front sight or just go buy an anshutz of some sort! HMMM maybe both,,nono make the voices stop!

Well trying to teach my young fella the basics first, before I let him try the easy stuff!

Ah, kids these days they don't know anything about doing things the old hard way. Try and find a teen that doesn't rely on a calculator these days to do simple math.

Buy him a cooey to teach him the old way on an old rifle then give him this later as a reward, say Christmas.

Got a cooey.2husqies , a rem pump, etc but nothing accurate with good sights! By the way one of the Husqvarna's has a crazy hair trigger, you literally, barely touch the trigger, I figure a botched trigger job before I got it, they came from tradeex. No we don't use that one anymore!
Anyhow one more good report and I have no other choice but to give Canam even more of my childrens inheritance!

I wouldn't mind inheriting Canam stuff :p. God forbid tho, if your children grow up to be the type who turns firearms in to the RCMP so you better raise them right ;)

No worries there, the 11 year old is loving .22 target shooting and the others either have or in the process of getting pal/rpal. Just bought 2 more Costco gun safes! Trying to balance out the hunting/fun plinking and serious target equipment!
( oh yea, canam inheritance, 3 boys/3 1911's)!!

Pics of NS522

Just got it in the mail. Canpar came by on Friday, but I was out :-(

Just rubbed some of the packing oil off it, you can still see some in the photos (need to do a thorough strip & clean...). I was very happy with the way it looks, and it feels very sturdy. The stock is nice, and shoulders well. Only thing that is off are some of the cutouts on the stock, you can tell it was probably for the EM version (trigger guard isn't quite right, and the inset for the bolt doesn't match the bolt/knob, looks like it was for the leaf style bolt handle). Overall, very happy. Hopefully going to the range to try it out later this week.

Wonder are there aftermarket stocks for these?
Great closeups, the wood work is definitely rough, even looking down at the receiver nothing matches up well at all, however your buying it for the steel not the wood. Barrel does look cool with the twist pattern!
