Yeah, the 9.3 is very tempting, but I’m already emotionally attached to the Whelen. Have enough 35 cal bullets to last my lifetime. That said, this looks like the perfect rifle. Could sell off all my 35s and move on to 9.3. lol

Well after all the hype and being super stoked, fit and finish were great, took it out to shoot and it wont eject reliably. If you run the bolt fast the extractor does not rise up in time, Bolt has to be pushed forward half a cm then back and it ejects. Prophet River is being great about it and its going back for a look with a gunsmith or back to Ruger for warranty but super disappointed in a $2k gun that is supposed to be a "bear gun" not being reliable. before you ask yes Ive lubed it and I have already tried putting 300 rounds through the action (not fired just run through) and a box fired. The Iron sights also shoot quite low even at 20yds.
 
I’ve only been able to inspect my Whelen so far. Gun looks great with the exception of a groove on side of rear sight base you can hook your nail on (PR also great said they’d do a return if I chose to), my barrel is tight and contacting stock (not free floated) , trigger is just over 4lbs. Easier fixes, but still. The gun profile matches my 375 Ruger Alaskan. One of the reasons I bought it. Going to have and get it to the range when time permits to check my cycling etc and see if I have any issues like wolfshowlatmoon. Hopefully I don’t.

I'm in a similar boat. Had a couple different 7600s I moved to new homes. Currently have a Ruger M77 and just added this one, this past week.

Anyone have the 9.3 and not happy with it? Like to hear feedback on the fit and finish, accuracy. On the wait list like everyone else. Checking Guns International as well.
