New pistol grip and forend for my Vz58s!

. The pistol grip didn't come with a screw to fit into the original block (I blame that on Canada customs who opened all the packages...WTF for? oh yea $17 customs duty) I made a bolt from a 1/4" coach bolt approx 1 1/4" long with lock washer and nut. Fit really well and tight. The pistol grip is awesome and with me an my large hands it fits better than the red grip.

i presume you could not reuse the original CZ858 bolt and screw.

k So cause I'm stupid make it clear for me. If my stock upper is loose I can install this setup and it will be firm and hold zero?
In many cases bending out a bit ( just a bit!!!) the front metal tabs that lock the upper handguard to the gas block
will do the job.

Anyone know anything about the aluminum forearm advertised on Palinak's site:
http://www.vz58.net/products.html

Just wondering how the Slovak metal unit would compare in durability vs the FAB polymer one.
Looks like he has the FAB one listed down the page also.

Haven't seen one in the wild yet, but I'd like to. I wonder about the heat issue with an aluminum fore-end and how many rounds it would take before it would be too hot to handle without gloves.

I was just thinking that, It could get real toasty if your cracking off half a crate...:runaway:

Typically aluminum forends ventilate better than the plastic they replace. Rail covers or a VFG to grab onto and you shouldn't have any problems.

Just got my grip and railed handguard in the mail today from Zahal. No duties or taxes. :D :D :D

Is that dependant on how tight the original upper metal fits or is the new one designed to sit on top of the new lower tight? = No, I was surprised but no...

I never paid any duty also. Customs seem to be hit and miss, sometimes you pay sometimes you don't.

I must be doing something wrong. Attempts to mount my Eotech 516 upon the Fab Defence polymer railed fore end have proven dubious at best. Lots of wobble when completely 'tightened'. Any advice?

Just an update. Got the new Fab defense Galil folding stock in today from badboybeeson... great deal by the way. Overall quality is excellent! It's locks up solid and provides some cheek weld, a lot better than the factory folder. I might have to get another one for my cz858.:D
