New pistol grip and forend for my Vz58s!

Just an update. Got the new Fab defense Galil folding stock in today from badboybeeson... great deal by the way. Overall quality is excellent! It's locks up solid and provides some cheek weld, a lot better than the factory folder. I might have to get another one for my cz858

nice stock , not bad price either ($220) .

That's exactly the stock I want - you've pretty much got the setup I'm aiming for :D

Wow thanks for this, I wasn't sure if I wanted a VZ but it looks awesome with the railed foreend, the pistol grip, and either the stock side folder or the galil style.

Nice setup; very attractive in fact! My only real question to you is why you chose a folder? Was it because there are almost no other alternatives to the wood-chip fixed? It's not like we are all going to jump out of airplanes with these things, and you can't really operate the VZ effectivly with that folder in the locked down position, so I must assume it's either an entirely aesthetic choice, or just a lack of any real alternative. At any rate, it's a nice looking rifle.

I do, however, wish that someone would make a polymer version of the original fixed butt-stock for the VZ. I, personally, don't care much for folders or collapsible butt-stocks, but if someone lengthened the original design by say, 2 inches, and made it in several colors of polymer, then I would certainly purchase one; and I don't think that I am alone in that desire either. The sweeping lines of the original butt-stock are quite distinctive, and it's a real shame that there is not an updated option for the VZ that keeps those weighty curves in the picture.

Nice setups guys, do those handguards return to zero after disassebly? And whats that Galil stock made out of? Aren't the originals steel?

I have found that the handguards do return to zero after disassembly, the stock and handguards are made from a polymer composite. The folding mechanism is made out of steel.

I chose the folder because I like it. I like black rifles, most of my rifles are black style. It's also makes a great conversation piece at the range. :D

After looking at the thing for a bit (butt-stock), I think I'll give it a whirl. Where did you say you got it now; and at what price? I'd appreciate the info. Thank you.

P.S. Oh, and do they accept major US Credit Cards? I've found, at this point, that that can be a deal killer with some Canadian companies for me. If I can't use plastic, then I don't do the deal; Money Orders/ Pay Pal, etc. are too much trouble; too much hassle. Thanks again.

The Tasco has been a good sight for the money. I have a Burris XTS-135 also, and the two sights seem to be almost identical.

Alittle OT - A fellow I knew had both of these sights. He also thought they were identical - made in identical country (hint: starts with CH_ _ _ ). Both sights served well. I think battery life was so-so. He ended up going with an Eotech later on.

I too plan to run the Scout Scopes mount and use the FAB forearm mostly for mounting the vertical grip.
