...And the supply will not.
why so pessimistic?
...And the supply will not.
How hard is it to find some red/brown bakelite grips? Do they fit?
why so pessimistic?it's just chicken-egg scenario...no guns no ammo. We brought guns, ammo will be in too. Unfortunately not many sources are authorized by NRCAN and it may take time to get it approved. Supply will be sufficient

I spoke only of cheap surplus. Given what I am paying for steel cased Norinco ammo I am eager to see what you bring in!

Time line on this? Weeks, months, years? I have dies and bullets on order and will be trimming 9x19 brass to suit, but cheap surplus is always a good thing to be stocked up on.

Maybe you guys knew but I've just found that starlinebrass.com makes Makarov brass. There is a distributor in BC for starline products their name Rusty Wood Trading (rustywood.ca). Rusty doesn't stock Makarov brass but will be able to bring it in fast.
I talked to Jerrry at Mystic Precision and it is available, but not cheap at $200/1000 pieces. For that cost I will convert some of the piles of range pick up 9x19 brass I have. I would prefer to have 9x18 headstamped brass, but not that badly.

Mark, I know nothing about reloading...what would be reasonable price for brass?
brass prices depend on the caliber, 9mm and .40 are common so they are cheap. For me if the price is the same as it is in the states I consider it a good price.
Does anybody have the price of 9x18 brass in the US?

Got mine today, not bad. I want GSh-18 next.
starline website says $135 per 1000 for new brass. I've talked to Peter from Rusty Wood he should get back to me with quote.

For 2011, KPB Design Bureau make the announcement of a possible marketing of a civilian version of the GSH 18 with modified trigger and firing pin for Russian gun law compliance. This information was confirmed at the 2011 IWA show where a sample gun was displayed.
LOL I like Putin's pics
I thought you wanted kedr first
Importing GSh-18 with 106mm barrel is doable but price is not right IMO. Of course if price is not an issue then it's different story![]()
