I have never bought anything from Marstar. I must admit after I started to read this post I was wondering if I ever would. Let me say Johnone I am really impressed on how you have handled this post with all the details that you provided us with. I can honestly say that if I needed something you had for sale I would not hesitate in buying from you. I think this post should go on as it really clears things up. Only a complete idiot could not see who is to blame here for this BS. Keep up the good work Johnnone.

This was absolutley amazing. I loved every minute of it. When will they make a movie about it. Anyway I just wanted to be an ####### a bit there. But I must admit, that John I truly admired the way you handled this situation. And I will do my best to purchase a gun from you guys yet.

Like previously stated, picking up the phone is really the best way to go about buisness if you are too far away to visit in person. I am still young, but old enough to know a thing or two about being screwed over. The best thing anyone can do is to contact the offending party to try to smooth things over before making anything public.

Dave please just take the offer and get your money back; its amazing they are even offering such a deal considering the allegations made.

You read this entire thing? 9 pages worth!? that is .... kinda nuts.

I think... from what I've read ( the first page ) that people are ragging on this poor guy a little too much, July 13th he says was the last correspondence, that's three weeks folks! I think you all would be a little annoyed. Yes, he should have called them, but still. Give the guy a break.

Oh and :sucks: lol never thought I would use that emotocon.

Yea whats the point of reading what others have said, or the whole story?

Makes much more sense to read 1/9th of the discussion and then base your opinion on that.

Let the flaming begin anew!

Wowah, I read the whole thing. Johnone wow brother you have the patients of Job my friend. I can say I would be pretty pissed getting two defective revolvers and as other have stated the phone is the best way to talk without these kinds of misunderstandings. Email and forums are brutal for getting the wrong idea across a simple phone call would have solved this whole thing. One thing is for sure and I read every piece of paper and Marstars site, I made copies of everything just as Marstar Suggested. Right on the site where they talk about the iron clad guarantee it states the return procedure. In that it says to write down the problem and what you want done about it. I read everything and on my return I sent everything and then some, better too much info then not enough. I think John has been more then fair here even after being called a liar, rather uncalled for IMHO due to the fact that the complainant didn't even bother to keep copies of his own paperwork. This makes me call into question Pietta's nickel plating as my revolver had the nickel coming off as well. Wonder if the production runs were around the same time. After reading this I am Glad that I bought the revolver from you John, I seriously think you have been wronged in this thread, but gladly I also see that people are seeing this for what it is. Pietta's fault not Marstar's. Most of us understand that Marstar is too big to check every inch of a firearm, on a new one one would assume the manufacturer would have done that. R1-Dave, Just take the refund man, I think you burned this bridge pretty good.

I think...this person has excellent qualifications for becoming a book reviewer for a major Vancouver newspaper.

Kind of like shooting a one shot group, saving the other nine rounds, and making a statement on the supremely accurate rifle you have. :)

I note the title for this thread is "No Reply ??"

I note there has been no reply from the OP since the offer of a full refund was made.

OP was complaining about lack of communications, and started the thread.
Seems that he should live up to his expectations for others.
Someone else might report the acceptance or rejection of the refund offer.

Funny I called Marstar this morning and asked about my Pietta pistol I sent back for warranty and talked to Jim ( think that was the name ) he let me know everything was good to go and they were just waiting on the CFO. Took me all of 10 min. Thanks Marstar.

I have to give R1-Dave a credit for bringing this up this thread. This will protect the consumers from headaches when dealing with online suppliers. I have'nt dealt with Marstar , I'm sure they are a good company but I will definitely think twice before buying something from them.

" but I will definitely think twice before buying something from them. "

Like you say, you have not dealt with us, I find your remark unwarranted.... I invite you to take a moment and read our warranty policy, it is second to none, ask around.
John

I don't know you so I will be nice on this. You apparently did not read beyond the first page. I think that Dave was completely in the wrong how he went about this. If you ask around there are far more happy customers from Marstar then Unhappy, that is for a reason, and some people you can never make happy. I have a revolver at Marstar for a Warranty replacement and have had no problems what so ever with Marstar. If you pick up the phone and call it may take a few rings but you will get a polite person on the other end that tells you everything you want to know about what is up with your issue. John actually asked me to send my revolver back due to defect after I asked if the peeling Nickel was normal. This might seem like a stupid question to someone until I say I have never owned a nickel plated anything and didn't want to freak if it was some protective coating (see what I mean). Marstar is a very busy business for a reason, they treat their customers very well and they are about the only firearms business in Canada (Maybe not the only, but the only I know of) that warranty's what they sell for any reason. Good luck getting that most other places. Now I don't usually troop the colours for a business however when you are treated as fairly by Marstar as I have you earn respect and loyalty. Where I come from that means something. So you are entitled to your opinion but I have no problem recomending Marstar and that is not something I do lightly.
